The experience begins with a structured briefing covering safety procedures, communication signals, and how the underwater helmet works. You’ll be fitted with specialist equipment designed to supply air continuously, allowing you to breathe normally throughout the session. No diving skills are required, and your hair stays dry during the experience.
After the briefing, you’ll enter the aquarium and descend onto the tank floor inside a designated area. Once underwater, you’ll walk along a fixed route while surrounded by sharks, rays, and a wide range of fish species. The helmet provides clear visibility and keeps water away from your face, making the experience accessible even for those who are uncomfortable in water.
Trained staff supervise the session at all times, guiding movement and monitoring participants. The pace is steady and calm, giving you time to observe the animals around you rather than rushing through the experience.
The experience takes place inside Dubai Aquarium, located within The Dubai Mall on Financial Center Road. The venue is centrally located and easy to reach by taxi or public transport.
Being inside the mall means access to nearby facilities, cafés, and restrooms before and after your session. Guests are required to arrive at least 45 minutes early to allow time for check-in, paperwork, and briefing.
No swimming or diving experience is required. Participants must be at least 10 years old and meet the minimum physical requirement of having shoulder width of at least 33 cm to ensure correct helmet fitting.
A medical form must be completed before participation, and a valid passport is required on the day. Guests should follow the specified dress code and arrive early to avoid missing their session.
