Combine canyon viewpoints, cultural landmarks, and guided rafting into a single full-day outdoor experience from Alanya or Antalya. This eight-hour trip balances time off the river with a structured rafting section, supported by guides, transfers, and lunch.
The day begins with hotel pick-up followed by a scenic drive inland through mountain roads and rural villages. En route, there are stops at historical points including a Roman-era stone bridge and sections of Saint Paul’s Road, providing context before reaching the canyon area.
At Eagle Canyon, you’ll have around 45 minutes to explore the viewpoint areas on foot. The canyon walls rise several hundred metres above the river below, with clear vantage points for photography and time to take in the scale of the landscape. Walking is on uneven natural ground but kept to defined paths and viewing areas.
After the canyon visit, the focus shifts to rafting. Guides provide safety instruction and equipment before entering the river. The rafting section follows a managed stretch with cold, fast-moving water and steady rapids, with optional swimming breaks depending on conditions. After finishing the route, lunch is served before the return transfer to your hotel.
The canyon visit takes place in the region commonly known as Eagle Canyon (Tazı Canyon), located inland from the coast and accessed via mountain roads. The surrounding area is part of the wider Köprülü Canyon National Park.
Rafting is carried out on the Köprüçay River within the park, a well-established rafting corridor used by licensed operators.
Participants should be comfortable with moderate physical activity and walking on natural terrain during the canyon visit. A basic ability to swim is recommended for the rafting section.
This experience is not suitable for pregnant participants or those with mobility impairments. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted during the activity.
This tour combines two distinct outdoor experiences into a single day without overloading the schedule. The inclusion of transfers, guides, rafting equipment, and lunch keeps the day organised and straightforward.
It also works well alongside the broader selection of outdoor and adventure activities available on adventuro, where you’ll find hundreds of tours, lessons, and equipment rental options to build out a longer itinerary in the region.
