This introductory scuba diving experience is designed for first-timers who want a structured, calm introduction to diving in Dubai’s coastal waters. The session combines classroom instruction, shallow-water practice, and a guided open-water dive, with full equipment and media included.
The session begins with arrival at the dive centre and a 30-minute classroom briefing covering safety, equipment use, and basic underwater communication. This is followed by 30 minutes of in-water training in shallow conditions, allowing time to practise breathing and movement before the dive.
Once comfortable, you’ll complete a guided open-water dive lasting up to 45 minutes. The instructor remains with you throughout, controlling depth and pace based on your comfort level. The focus is on relaxed exploration rather than skill progression, making this suitable for complete beginners.
Photos and videos are taken during the experience and provided afterwards at no extra cost. Towels, slippers, and refreshments are available on site, and the total experience runs to around three hours from start to finish.
The dive takes place at La Mer Beach, a central coastal area with calm entry conditions. From the water, divers can see Dubai’s skyline, including distant views towards Burj Khalifa on clear days.
The location is chosen for accessibility, shallow depth, and suitability for introductory dives.
No prior diving experience or certification is required. Participants must be at least 10 years old and in good general health. Divers aged 10–17 must have a medical liability form signed by a parent or guardian.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant participants. Air travel should be avoided for at least 18 hours after diving. A passport or Emirates ID must be brought on the day.
This experience is structured specifically for first-time divers, with extended briefing and in-water practice before the open-water dive. The inclusion of photos, videos, equipment, and transfers keeps the experience straightforward with no add-ons required.
It also fits naturally within the wider range of water sports, lessons, and equipment rental options available on adventuro, where you’ll find hundreds of activities supporting progression from first underwater sessions to certified diving.
