Get the full Glasgow experience on two wheels with this 5.5-hour guided bike tour, taking in all the key sights and some lesser-known gems. From riverside icons to leafy gardens, historic landmarks and local slang, this ride offers a complete look at the city with plenty of laughs along the way.
The tour kicks off at 10:30am and covers a broad loop of Glasgow’s cultural, historical and architectural highlights. You’ll ride a relaxed route that includes the Clyde waterfront and its famous bridges, the Finnieston Crane and the striking Clyde Auditorium. From there, the group heads to the Clydeside Distillery and the Transport Museum, where you’ll have the chance to spot the Glenlee tall ship. As you cycle along, your guide will share stories, local expressions (like "shoogly"), and the kind of details only a Glaswegian would know.
By midday, you’ll be exploring the West End, with stops at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Glasgow University. You’ll ride on to the Botanic Gardens and Kibble Palace, and there’s the option to include Maryhill Locks if the group’s up for it. Lunch is at one of Glasgow’s top micro-breweries (at your own cost), and afterwards, the tour continues to Queen’s Cross to see the MacKintosh Church. You’ll also get to view Glasgow Cathedral, the Provand’s Lordship, and the historic Necropolis. The day finishes around 4pm, with the chance to enjoy a whisky (not included) and a good blether before heading off.
The tour starts and finishes near the Clyde in central Glasgow, with free secure parking available for those arriving by car. It’s a convenient location with easy access to public transport, making it simple to join whether you're coming from within the city or further afield.
You’ll cycle through a wide variety of Glasgow neighbourhoods, from the vibrant centre to the leafy West End. Each area brings a different atmosphere and set of sights, offering a well-rounded feel for the city in just one day.
This tour is suitable for confident riders who are comfortable cycling in a group and handling a bike for several hours, with regular breaks. Although the pace is easy and the route is mostly flat, a basic level of fitness is recommended.
Participants should be aged 12 or over and able to cycle independently. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you have specific mobility or health concerns, feel free to enquire about a private tour option or the use of an e-bike.
This team has years of experience running guided cycling tours in Glasgow and knows the city inside out. Their guides are all local and bring a warm, friendly energy to each ride, along with genuine knowledge of Glasgow’s past and present.
The aim is to offer something more than a standard sightseeing tour — one that’s full of character, conversation, and local flavour. Whether you’re new to Glasgow or have visited before, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the city and some new favourite spots.
