Spend an evening on the water with a guided paddleboarding or kayak excursion from Can Pastilla beach. Start with a short introduction to paddling techniques, then follow a scenic route towards Cala Estancia to enjoy sunset views over Palma. The excursion finishes back at the Surf Bar with a Pintxo and a beer, combining light activity with a relaxing social moment.
The excursion begins at Can Pastilla beach, where participants receive a safety briefing and guidance on paddleboarding or kayaking techniques. The monitor demonstrates proper balance, paddling, and steering, giving time for each participant to practice before leaving the shore. Safety equipment, including life jackets, is provided, and the guide ensures everyone feels comfortable on the water.
Once on the water, the route follows a calm, scenic path towards Cala Estancia. Participants will pass by areas with interesting marine life and enjoy views of the Palma coastline. The guide shares insights about the local environment and offers tips to improve paddling efficiency. A stop midway allows participants to take photos, enjoy the sunset, and rest briefly. The return journey heads back to the Surf Bar, where guests are treated to a Pintxo and a beer while watching the sun sink below the horizon.
The departure point is Can Pastilla beach, located on Mallorca’s southern coastline near Palma. This sheltered area provides calm waters ideal for paddleboarding and kayaking excursions.
The route towards Cala Estancia passes by striking coastal features, including small cliffs, rocky outcrops, and areas where the local marine life is visible in clear waters. Along the way, participants can see the city of Palma in the distance and planes taking off and landing nearby, creating a unique backdrop. The excursion concludes at the Surf Bar, offering a comfortable spot for refreshments and a panoramic view of the sunset over the Mediterranean.
Participants should be in general good health and able to paddle for light physical activity. No previous experience is required, as the monitor provides guidance throughout.
Wear swimwear or active clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and bring a water bottle. Comfort and safety on the water are essential.
The excursion is led by experienced monitors who provide continuous support and safety supervision for all participants. They tailor instructions to the skill level of each paddler, ensuring everyone feels confident and can enjoy the experience.
The activity combines gentle physical exercise with sightseeing and social interaction, making it suitable for friends, couples, or solo visitors. Guests benefit from a relaxed, engaging experience that includes a scenic route, expert guidance, and a rewarding sunset with refreshments at the end.
This excursion is suitable for beginners as well as those with prior paddleboarding or kayaking experience. The guide provides a brief introduction and safety instructions before departure, ensuring everyone is comfortable handling their equipment.
For participants with some experience, the excursion allows practicing balance, paddling techniques, and manoeuvring around calm waters. The route is planned to be easy and safe, with no challenging currents or waves.
Participants will be provided with a stand-up paddleboard or kayak, a life jacket, and a waterproof container for personal items. All equipment is regularly maintained and appropriate for all adult participants.
Optional accessories such as paddling gloves or water shoes can enhance comfort, but the core equipment is sufficient for a safe and enjoyable experience.
The excursion lasts approximately 2 hours, including the initial briefing, paddling to the islet, enjoying the sunset, and returning to the beach. This allows enough time for a relaxed pace and photo stops along the way.
Paddlers can expect roughly 45–60 minutes of active paddling, depending on group speed and conditions. The guide monitors the group to ensure timing works well with the sunset.
The excursion begins at Can Pastilla beach, where participants receive a safety briefing and instructions on paddleboarding or kayaking. The guide ensures everyone is comfortable before setting off.
After paddling to the islet of Cala Estancia and enjoying the sunset, the group returns to Can Pastilla beach. The excursion ends at the Surf Bar, where participants can relax with a pintxo and a drink while enjoying sea views.
Participants must be able to paddle independently for the duration of the excursion. Children over a certain age or smaller adults should discuss suitability with the provider. The guide ensures everyone’s safety with life jackets and close supervision.
The calm waters of Can Pastilla and the islet route make this a low-risk activity. Any participants with medical conditions affecting balance or mobility should consult with their doctor before booking.
If weather conditions make the excursion unsafe, the trip may be postponed or rescheduled. The guide checks wind, tides, and local conditions before departure to guarantee safety.
In case of cancellation due to weather, participants are offered alternative dates or refunds. Summer evenings are generally stable, but sudden changes in wind or storms may affect scheduling.
Participants are advised to wear swimwear or lightweight clothing that can get wet, a hat, and sunscreen. A small bottle of water is recommended for hydration.
Personal belongings such as phones or cameras should be stored in the waterproof container provided. Flip-flops or water shoes are optional for comfort on the sand and rocky areas.
