You'll spend the day ashore on Roatan visiting a hillside wildlife sanctuary, snorkelling on the barrier reef, and relaxing on a private island beach. It's a longer shore day that gives you proper time at each stop rather than rushing through a single activity and heading straight back to the ship.
Pickup at the cruise terminal starts the day with a drive east across the island to Jungle Top Adventure. You'll spend around 45 minutes there with sloths, capuchin monkeys, scarlet macaws and parrots on gentle hillside paths before boarding the boat for a guided drift snorkel on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
Plan for around 1 hour and 20 minutes in the water while your guide helps with equipment and keeps the group together. The afternoon is on Brady's Cay for roughly three hours of beach time, with loungers and waiter service if you want food or drinks, before we get you back to your ship.
The reef sits off Roatan on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Sites are chosen on the day based on visibility and marine life, and the drift format means you can see a good amount of reef without swimming long distances on your own.
Jungle Top Adventure is a hillside sanctuary with gentle paths rather than long hikes, and beach time is on Brady's Cay, a small private island. Cruise guests are collected at the ship exit gate and returned to the terminal after the beach break.
