You'll drive your own private compact boat around Yas Island while a captain leads the convoy from a separate boat. The outing lasts 90 minutes, with GPS audio at the landmarks you pass and time ashore at an island stop when conditions allow. No boating licence is required.
At the marina gate the team walks you to the fleet and shows you how to control the boat, how to follow the lead captain, and where the group will stop. Life jackets are fitted before you leave the dock. Your boat stays private for your own group.
You take the wheel and follow the convoy around Yas Island. GPS audio plays from the speakers as you pass the waterfront, or you can switch to your own music. The route usually includes Yas Bay, the marina circuit, Al Raha Canal, Yas Links, Ferrari World, the mangroves and a Hidden Island stop for a swim, then you follow the captain back to Al Bandar Marina.
You start and finish at Al Bandar Marina on Al Raha Beach, a short hop from Yas Island. If you are driving, use UB Parking, take the lift to Marina Walk on the ground floor, and walk to the marina gate.
The tour stays in the waterways around Yas Island and Al Raha. The island stop and exact order of landmarks can change with weather, sea state and operational limits on the day.
No licence or previous boating experience is required. The driver needs a valid ID or passport at check-in. Everyone on board should be comfortable on the water and happy to follow the captain's instructions.
Children can join as passengers within the boat's weight limit. Infants sit on an adult's lap. Wear clothing you are happy to get wet if you plan to swim at the island stop.
Every session starts with a practical briefing and a licensed captain who stays with the group on the water. Boats are compact, well maintained and simple to handle, which suits first-time drivers as well as families sharing a private boat.
Life jackets are included for every guest, and the marina has changing rooms, washrooms and showers so you can get ready before you go and freshen up when you return. The team works from the same Al Bandar base every day, which keeps meeting and boarding straightforward.
