Enjoy a unique blend of coasteering, snorkelling, and wild swimming along Scotland's beautiful west coast. Perfect for adventure enthusiasts, this exciting activity offers the chance to explore rocky outcrops and secluded beaches while towing a floating, watertight bag.
Your adventure begins at a prearranged location where you'll meet your guide. After a warm welcome and safety briefing, you'll be issued with essential equipment including a wetsuit, snorkel, mask, fins, seatrekking bag, drybags, and a changing towel. The journey starts with a walk to the water's edge, where a venue-specific safety briefing will take place.
You’ll change into your wetsuit and snorkelling gear, pack your seatrekking bag, and enter the intertidal zone. The activity involves swimming, snorkelling, walking, and scrambling along the coastline. Midway through the trip, you'll break for lunch on a secluded beach or a small island, allowing you to rest and refuel before continuing your exploration. As the day draws to a close, you’ll exit the water, change into dry clothes, and walk back to your transport, concluding an exciting day of seatrekking.
Located on Scotland’s west coast, the region offers amazing seatrekking opportunities with rich wildlife, rugged rocky outcrops, and pristine sandy beaches.
Operating from Fort William, you'll discover the unique coastal environment of Lochaber, exploring hidden gems and peaceful natural spots.
Seatrekking requires a base level of fitness and confidence in the water. Experience with wild swimming or snorkelling is beneficial but not mandatory. You must be able to swim.
Our centre in Fort William offers unparalleled seatrekking experiences across Lochaber. Since 2018, we've dedicated ourselves to exploring and sharing the Scottish coastline in this innovative way.
We aim to provide sustainable, high-quality, adventurous, and educational experiences while striving to minimise our environmental impact. By choosing us, you'll support our efforts to protect the marine and coastal environment and benefit from our extensive expertise and passion for adventure.
