A varied full-day cycling experience brings together city streets, countryside roads, cultural stops, and traditional Basque food in one private guided journey. Riding on premium e-bikes, the route is designed to keep things comfortable while covering a wide mix of scenery and experiences at a relaxed, adaptable pace.
Setting off from the city, the ride begins on e-bikes that make it easy to cover both urban streets and gentle countryside climbs. Early sections move out of San Sebastián towards quieter surroundings, where traffic reduces and the landscape opens up. The guide sets a comfortable pace, with stops along the way to take in views and share local insights.
Reaching the countryside, the route includes a visit to Chillida Leku, an outdoor museum where art and nature sit side by side. Time is given to explore the space and understand its connection to the region’s cultural identity. From there, the ride continues through rural roads and green landscapes towards a traditional cider house.
Lunch forms a central part of the day, with a sit-down meal featuring local dishes and house cider in a relaxed setting. After the meal, the return journey follows a flexible route depending on energy levels and timing. Sections can be shortened or adjusted, with transport back to the city available if preferred.
Based in San Sebastián, the experience quickly transitions from urban cycling routes into surrounding countryside within a short ride. This makes it easy to experience both city life and rural landscapes in a single day without long transfers.
The wider region is known for its mix of coastal views, green hills, and strong cultural traditions. Routes pass through quiet villages and open countryside, offering a different perspective compared to the city centre while still staying close to the starting point.
Comfortable cycling ability is required for a full-day ride covering mixed terrain. E-bike assistance helps manage distance and small climbs, making the experience more accessible for a wider range of fitness levels.
Basic confidence on a bike is important, as the route includes both urban and rural sections. The guide adjusts pace and stops throughout the day to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Each ride is led by guides who know the area well and focus on creating a balanced mix of cycling, culture, and local experiences. Oskar brings strong regional knowledge and a practical approach to shaping routes that feel natural and well-paced.
Luis draws on a background in tourism and hospitality to ensure the day runs smoothly, especially around cultural stops and dining experiences. Fredy looks after the technical preparation of the bikes, making sure everything is ready for a long and comfortable day in the saddle.
Private format means only your group takes part, allowing the guide to adapt pace, stops, and focus throughout the day. This creates a more flexible and personalised experience.
The route can be adjusted depending on fitness, interest in cultural stops, and overall group preference.
Full-day structure combines cycling, cultural visits, and traditional dining in one experience. It is not just a ride, but a mix of activities throughout the day.
Stops include both natural and cultural highlights, offering a wider view of the region beyond the city.
Moderate effort is required, but e-bikes reduce strain on hills and longer sections. The pace is controlled and adjusted throughout the day.
Riders should be comfortable spending several hours on a bike with breaks built in.
Traditional cider house lunch includes local dishes and house cider, along with soft drinks. It is served in a relaxed, communal setting.
Dietary requirements can often be considered with advance notice.
No prior experience is needed. A short briefing is provided before departure to ensure confidence with the bike.
Electric assistance makes longer distances and varied terrain easier to manage.
Route and timing can be adjusted depending on weather, group energy, and preferences. Stops may also be extended or shortened.
Flexibility is built into the experience to keep it comfortable throughout the day.
