Learn the inland navigation rules required for boating across European rivers and canals with this flexible online RYA CEVNI course. Designed for ICC Inland endorsement applicants and inland cruisers, the course provides a straightforward introduction to the rules, signs and signals used throughout Europe’s inland waterways.
Created for anyone planning to navigate inland waterways across Europe, this online course introduces the official CEVNI rules used on rivers, canals and inland ports throughout many European countries. Lessons are designed to explain the regulations clearly, helping students understand how inland navigation differs from coastal boating.
Training covers visual signs and signals, inland buoyage systems, sound signals, vessel conduct and right-of-way rules commonly encountered on European waterways. Students also learn how these regulations apply during inland cruising situations, helping prepare them for safe and legal boating abroad.
Flexible online access allows students to complete both the learning and assessment entirely at their own pace from anywhere. Once ready, students can complete the official 30-question multiple-choice test online, with results provided immediately after completion. Passing the assessment allows students to add the Inland endorsement to their International Certificate of Competence (ICC).
Training takes place fully online, allowing students to complete the course and assessment from home or while travelling. Lessons can be accessed using a computer or tablet with internet access, making the course easy to fit around existing commitments.
