This is a personalised tour designed for your family or group to explore the beauty of the Cornish coastline aboard the RIB Harbinger. With the ability to tailor your trip to your desires, from coastal sightseeing to wildlife spotting, you'll experience a memorable adventure that caters to your interests and pace.
Your journey begins with a brief run to ensure all passengers are comfortable. Once settled, you'll enjoy an informative tour along the beautiful coastline. Discover local history, including tales of shipwrecks and the development of the RIB itself—renowned for its safety. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot seals, dolphins, and even Minke whales, though sightings are not guaranteed. You'll definitely see birdlife like gannets, cormorants, and gulls.
For those interested in shorter trips, a tour of Falmouth Harbour and the bay is available. Alternatively, longer trips might take you to the scenic Lizard coast, where you could swim in hidden coves or enjoy a beach landing for ice cream. Your skipper, Iain, is an RYA Powerboat Instructor with over 20 years of boating experience, ensuring a safe and enjoyable trip.
Set off from various gorgeous locations along the Cornish coast, including Falmouth, St Mawes, or Helford. These areas offer access to both sheltered waters and the open sea, ensuring a dynamic and engaging trip. Departure times are tide-dependent, and exact details will be confirmed upon booking.
Passengers should be at least 4 years old, and if younger children are involved, please get in touch to discuss options.
The adventure is suitable for all fitness levels, and you’ll need to wear appropriate clothing for the conditions.
We specialise in providing private tours where your group has exclusive use of the RIB Harbinger, avoiding large, impersonal tours. Each trip is fully customisable to meet your preferences, from the places you visit to the wildlife you may wish to see.
Licensed by the UK Coastguard Agency, we can take you beyond the usual limits of Falmouth Bay, offering you an adventurous and safe time on the water. Our 5-star reviews and high safety standards make us a trusted choice for families and groups looking for a unique water-based adventure.
It’s recommended to wear a waterproof and windproof jacket, along with a warm sweater, fleece, or hoodie, as it can be significantly cooler at sea compared to land.
You're welcome to bring your camera or phone; however, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
Please note that your equipment may get wet, and it might be difficult to hold while holding onto the safety bar. We suggest securely attaching any devices. Waterproof bags are available for small items, though they do not offer impact protection.
Although we maintain a safe speed, the vessel may encounter sudden waves or currents that can result in hard landings and significant jolts. Therefore, the standard itinerary is not suitable for those who are pregnant or suffer from back, joint, bone conditions, or heart problems.
Passengers must be able to stand unassisted and hold themselves securely in their seats. If anyone in your party has medical conditions, we can arrange a non-standard itinerary. Please contact us via the adventuro chat before booking to discuss your options.
Unfortunately, there are no toilets onboard.
However, since the entire boat is chartered for your party, we can make diversions if needed.
Possibly. XS RIBs are known for their dry hull design, which helps deflect water, but wind-blown spray may catch you by surprise.
It’s also possible it may rain. Please bring a waterproof jacket, and we will provide waterproof trousers for your comfort.
We provide state-of-the-art automatic life jackets from "Ocean Safety" for all adults and children over 15kg.
Life jackets must be worn at all times while onboard.
The vessel has seating for up to 7 passengers, though we recommend a maximum of 6 for most trips.
If your group includes 7 passengers, please contact us via the adventuro chat below in advance to ensure the trip is suitable.
As you’re booking the entire boat, we can tailor trips to suit most age groups, provided passengers can stand unassisted and hold on securely.
For the two-hour trip, the minimum recommended age is 4 years, and for half-day or longer trips, it is 6 years. If your children are younger, feel free to contact us, and we can discuss possible options.
Absolutely! Each trip is tailored to your group's interests, whether it's sightseeing, searching for dolphins, or exploring secluded coves.
Let us know any special requests when booking, and we'll make sure your adventure is personalised to your preferences.
Yes, you can! Our trips offer an "assisted charter" option, allowing qualified individuals to take the helm with our skipper's guidance.
However, this is only available to those holding an RYA Powerboat Level 2 (or higher) qualification. A copy of your RYA photocard must be submitted before the trip for verification.
