Widemouth Bay offers designated surfing areas monitored by RNLI. Waves vary with tides, including secret reef breaks.
Summerleaze Beach transforms from a narrow beach at high tide to a larger bay at lower tides. Ideal for surfing during higher tides, it features a breakwater and river mouth for long, gentle waves. RNLI lifeguards patrol at certain times, ensuring a safe experience.
No previous surfing experience is required for beginners. Our instructors adapt the lessons to individual abilities, making them accessible for everyone.
Our surf school has been providing personalised surfing lessons for over 15 years, led by a team of local instructors who are accomplished watermen and women. Absolutely! We're licensed for both beaches, and you can choose based on convenience, preference, ability, or let conditions decide.
All necessary equipment is provided, including wetsuits (summer and winter), boots, gloves, hoods, and a variety of surfboards.
The minimum age for private group lessons is 5 years old.
We had a lovely time paddle boarding across the canal taking in the view from on the water up close and seeing the ducks!
