Your private party of up to eight spends a Clevedon day kayaking Waitawa Regional Park and sharing craft beer and lunch at the village brewery. A dedicated guide coordinates timing between the park and the village and sets paddle pace for mixed abilities in your group.
Clevedon village is the welcome point for introductions, confirmation of paddle and tasting timing, and transfer toward Waitawa Regional Park with kayaks and safety kit for the private party only. The Wairoa River mouth and coastal inlets offer sheltered lines at a pace matched to the least experienced paddler, with stops for photos of cliffs, pasture, and Firth of Thames views when weather allows and coaching for newcomers on stroke and capsize steps.
After the paddle the group returns to the village brewery for hosted tasting and a meal window of at least two hours on the deck, with time to dry off, eat, and debrief the morning on the water. The guide confirms dietary notes were passed to the kitchen, checks dry bags and personal items, and keeps transfers between park and village smooth so the five-hour day feels unhurried.
Clevedon sits in rolling farmland between Auckland and the Firth of Thames, known for weekend drives, farmers markets, and gateway access to regional parks. Waitawa Regional Park protects coastline and river mouth habitats where the Wairoa River meets the sea, offering sheltered paddling among inlets and cliff-backed bays.
The craft brewery anchors the village experience with outdoor seating overlooking paddocks and hills, a natural complement to a morning on the water. Self-drive guests wind through quiet country roads between the park launch and the village, while the landscape shifts from open pasture to tidal margins within a short transfer.
Private charters suit up to eight guests with all ages welcome when younger paddlers have adult supervision on the water and in the brewery according to house rules. Moderate fitness helps for a multi-hour paddle, though routes favour sheltered water over exposed crossings.
Valid photo ID is required for alcohol service at the brewery, and non-drinking drivers should be arranged if your party is self-driving between sites. Flag dietary needs at the welcome so tasting and meal service can be prepared accordingly.
Clevedon private charters pair Waitawa paddling with village brewery hospitality, led by Qualmark-recognised kayak guides who sync park time with your reserved table. Kayaks and lifejackets are fitted to the least experienced paddler in a party of up to eight.
Equipment, sheltered route choice, and transfers between launch and tasting are handled for you, so the day moves cleanly from salt spray to deck dining. Pacing stays relaxed for mixed abilities and family celebrations.
Near the brewery, the guide confirms paddling and tasting timing before transfer toward Waitawa Regional Park with kayaks ready for the private group only.
The welcome outlines the sequence for the day, where to leave dry bags, and how long the water section is expected to last before returning for flights and food.
Questions about dietary needs or non-paddlers are settled now so the afternoon table is prepared correctly when you arrive back from the coast.
Explore calm inlets and coastal edges by kayak with stops for photos and rest. Pace and route follow your party ability because this is a private charter rather than a shared public tour.
Guides coach basic strokes for newcomers and choose sheltered lines if wind builds along the park shoreline. The group stays within easy voice contact throughout the paddle.
Short breaks on the water let you swap paddlers or stretch before returning to the take-out point. The schedule keeps the brewery reservation stays secure.
Return to the brewery for hosted craft beer tasting and dining in a reserved window of at least two hours, so you can relax without watching the clock after your time on the water.
Staff walk you through tasting flights while food arrives according to your booking notes. Non-drinkers can request alternative beverages subject to venue availability.
This is your chance to debrief the paddle, take photos on the deck, and enjoy Clevedon countryside views before the venue closes for the day.
Wear comfortable clothing that can get damp on the paddle, avoiding jeans that stay cold when wet. Bring a towel, spare layer, and closed footwear for the boat ramp and brewery deck.
Carry photo ID for tasting, personal medication, and a dry bag for valuables on the water. Sun protection is sensible during midday sections at Waitawa.
This charter suits friends, families, or colleagues who want kayaking and brewery time without joining a public tour. Pace adapts to the least experienced paddler in the party.
Contact us through Adventuro Chat if you need help matching children, non-paddlers, or dietary needs to the itinerary before you book.
Pack swimwear or quick-dry layers, a windproof jacket, and shoes that work on wet ramps and brewery floors. Towels and a warm top for after paddling keep the afternoon comfortable.
Bring photo ID for alcohol service, personal medication, and a phone in a dry bag if you want photos on the water.
Meet in Clevedon village at the craft brewery welcome point unless your confirmation states a different order for the day. Your guide confirms whether you paddle or taste first during the morning welcome.
Follow the map link on your confirmation for parking near the village start before you transfer to Waitawa Regional Park with kayaks.
Private kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, and safety kit are included for your group only. Guides fit equipment at the park launch and brief capsize steps before departure.
Brewery tasting and reserved dining time are part of the package, but additional bar tabs beyond the included tasting may follow the venue menu.
All ages may join with adult supervision on the water and in the brewery according to house rules. Young paddlers should be able to sit still in a kayak for the planned route length.
Tell us ages and experience when booking so we can suggest seating, lifejacket sizes, and pacing that keeps everyone comfortable.
Wind and swell at Waitawa can shorten water time or move paddling earlier in the day. Routes may be adjusted within the park or shift tasting later if conditions improve.
We will get in touch if timing or route changes. Waterproof layers help because coastal showers can appear quickly near the Firth of Thames.
Yes, this product is a private charter for your party up to eight guests. No other public guests join your kayak or reserved brewery window.
For larger celebrations, Send a note through Adventuro Chat to discuss alternatives if your headcount exceeds eight.
Transfers between the brewery meeting point and Waitawa launch as part of the private day. Self-drive guests still need vehicles large enough for personal bags.
We do not include pickup from central Auckland unless you arrange it separately with us before the date.
Plan for about five hours covering briefing, paddling, tasting, and meal time. The brewery window lasts at least two hours before their closing time on your chosen date.
Arrive on time at the welcome so the paddle is not shortened to protect your reserved table.
Eat a light breakfast, hydrate, and bring ID for tasting. Tell your guide about medical needs or non-drinkers in the group during the morning brief.
Avoid heavy alcohol before kayaking. After paddling, pace tasting with food and water as staff recommend at the brewery.
