Enjoy a private boat trip along the southern coast of Gallipoli with your own skipper, flexible atmosphere and exclusive access to some of the area’s best swimming and snorkelling spots. This relaxed three-hour experience combines clear shallow water, protected natural coastline and time onboard with food, drinks and music tailored to your group.
Perfect for families, couples, birthdays, small groups or anyone wanting a more personal experience at sea, the tour explores Punta Pizzo and Sant’Andrea Island away from crowded public beaches.
Your private tour begins from Gallipoli harbour before heading south along the Ionian coastline. Travelling at a relaxed pace, the boat passes famous beaches including Baia Verde, Lido San Giovanni and Punta della Suina, allowing your group to enjoy the coastline without the crowds found onshore during summer months. With the boat reserved exclusively for your party, the atmosphere remains flexible and personal throughout the experience.
The first swim stop takes place in the bay of Punta Pizzo, part of a protected regional natural park known for its shallow turquoise water and calmer conditions. Guests can swim directly from the boat, float beside the vessel or simply relax onboard with drinks and music. Because this is a private charter, there is more freedom to adapt the pace of the stop depending on the preferences of your group.
The second stop heads towards Sant’Andrea Island, one of the most recognisable offshore landmarks near Gallipoli. Surrounded by rocky seabeds and clearer water, the island is ideal for snorkelling and swimming. Masks are provided onboard for guests wanting to explore beneath the surface while the skipper prepares an aperitif with local products, fruit, prosecco or wine. After time spent anchored near the island, the boat cruises back towards Gallipoli along the coastline.
Routes and stop locations may vary depending on weather and sea conditions to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.
This private boat experience takes place along the southern coastline of Gallipoli in the Salento region of Puglia. The area combines sandy beaches, shallow bays, rocky islands and protected natural parkland, making it one of the most popular sections of coastline for swimming and boat excursions.
Departures take place from Scale Nove Pier near Gallipoli’s historic old town. The route explores Punta Pizzo Regional Natural Park and the waters surrounding Sant’Andrea Island, both accessible far more comfortably by boat than from land.
Public parking is available near the commercial port before entering the bridge towards the old town. Guests are advised to arrive 15–30 minutes before departure.
No previous boating or snorkelling experience is required. The tour is suitable for beginners, families and guests looking for a relaxed private experience on the sea.
Guests should bring swimwear, towels, water shoes, sun protection and comfortable clothing. Life jackets, flotation equipment and snorkelling masks are provided onboard. Non-swimmers are welcome and can use flotation equipment throughout the swimming stops.
Private charters offer a more flexible and personal way to experience the Gallipoli coastline, allowing groups to enjoy the sea at their own pace with dedicated attention from a local skipper. Whether you are planning a family outing, celebration, relaxed afternoon with friends or a quieter experience away from larger groups, the route can be adapted slightly depending on conditions and preferences.
Local knowledge plays a major role throughout the trip, from selecting the best swim stops to choosing calmer sheltered areas depending on the weather. With years of experience operating along this coastline, the focus remains on comfort, safety and helping guests experience Salento from the water in a genuinely relaxed way.
This experience gives your group exclusive use of the boat for the full duration of the trip. Unlike shared departures, there are no other guests onboard outside your booking.
The private format creates a more flexible atmosphere, allowing your group to relax at your own pace during swimming stops and throughout the cruise.
The general route still explores Punta Pizzo and Sant’Andrea Island, including two swimming stops and time for snorkelling.
However, private charters allow greater flexibility depending on sea conditions and the preferences of your group, with the skipper able to adjust timings and stop durations where possible.
Yes, dogs are welcome on private charters. Pets are not permitted on standard shared tours, making this option ideal for guests travelling with animals.
Guests should still notify the team in advance so suitable arrangements can be prepared onboard.
Yes, this is one of the best options for families wanting a quieter and more comfortable experience on the water. The slower navigation and calmer swimming areas around Punta Pizzo work particularly well for children.
Private charters also make it easier for families to move at their own pace without needing to follow a larger group schedule.
Yes, snorkelling masks are provided onboard for all guests wanting to explore the water around Sant’Andrea Island.
The island’s rocky seabed and clear water make it one of the better snorkelling locations along this part of the coastline.
The onboard aperitif includes local products, fresh fruit, prosecco or wine, along with free water available throughout the trip.
The aperitif is designed as a relaxed social part of the experience while anchored during one of the swimming stops.
Absolutely. Non-swimmers are welcome onboard and flotation equipment including life jackets, floating boards and armbands is available.
The calmer shallow water around Punta Pizzo makes this one of the more accessible tours for less confident swimmers.
Guests should bring swimwear, towels, water shoes, suncream and comfortable clothing suitable for spending time at sea.
A waterproof phone pouch or dry bag can also be useful during swimming stops.
Sea conditions are monitored daily before departure. If conditions are unsafe, the charter may be rescheduled or cancelled.
Guests will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund in the event of weather-related cancellation.
