Been away from diving for a while? PADI ReActivate is the most thorough way to rebuild your skills and confidence before heading back into Mediterranean water. You'll work through PADI eLearning at home, review key theory with your instructor, then complete two guided dives from Infanteria Beach at a pace that suits you.
Your ReActivate programme blends self-paced online study with practical coaching and two open-water dives. The first dive focuses on skill review at shallow depth, refreshing buoyancy, regulator recovery, mask clearing and controlled ascents in calm conditions at Infanteria Beach.
Once the essentials feel familiar again, your second dive takes you deeper so you reconnect with the rhythm of diving. Your instructor stays close throughout both sessions, adjusting the pace to match your comfort level and giving practical feedback after each dive.
Sessions start at our dive school in Los Belones before you travel to Infanteria Beach on the Cabo de Palos coastline. The area is one of the most respected dive regions on Spain's Costa Cálida, with clear water, rocky reefs and abundant marine life just metres from shore.
From the beach entry at Infanteria you'll reach varied rocky bottoms and Posidonia meadows without needing a boat, which makes skill practice straightforward. When conditions allow, the wider Cabo de Palos area offers walls, caves and the famous marine reserve a short boat ride away for your follow-on diving.
You'll need a recognised scuba certification such as Open Water Diver or equivalent, along with reasonable comfort in the water. If you have been out of diving for more than five years, ReActivate is required before joining guided dives with us.
Bring your certification card or digital record so we can verify your level during check-in. Junior certifications are accepted for younger divers provided they meet the age and depth limits of their existing qualification.
Returning to diving after a gap can feel daunting, so we keep sessions small and unhurried. Your instructor reviews equipment setup, buoyancy, communication and emergency procedures before you enter the water, then stays close throughout both dives.
The goal is a calm, structured refresh that leaves you ready for the marine reserve and shore sites nearby. We know Infanteria Beach and the surrounding coast intimately, choosing the best entry point for conditions on the day.
Before your practical day, you work through the PADI ReActivate eLearning modules at home on phone, tablet or computer. The material refreshes dive theory, equipment, planning and safety in clear, bite-sized sections you can pause and revisit whenever you need.
Completing the online portion in advance means your time with the instructor focuses on the skills and scenarios that matter most for getting back in the water confidently.
Meet at the school in Los Belones, collect your kit and head to Infanteria Beach. After a briefing on the day's plan, you enter the water for a shallow dive focused on buoyancy, regulator recovery, mask clearing and controlled ascents.
Your instructor watches your technique closely and adjusts the pace to match your comfort level. The calm beach entry and sheltered conditions make this an ideal setting to shake off rust without pressure.
Once the essentials feel familiar again, you head out for a second dive at greater depth. This is where you reconnect with the rhythm of diving: checking your gauges, finning efficiently and enjoying the underwater scenery while staying aware of your buddy and surroundings.
By the end of the session most divers feel noticeably more relaxed and ready to explore the marine reserve and coastline around Cabo de Palos.
ReActivate is aimed at certified divers who have not been in the water for a while and want a structured way to refresh knowledge and skills. It suits anyone who feels rusty on theory, equipment or in-water technique after months or years away from diving.
If you have been out of diving for more than five years, this programme is required before joining guided dives with us. It includes official PADI eLearning and two supervised open-water sessions so you rebuild confidence thoroughly before heading back to sea.
You must hold a recognised entry-level scuba certification such as PADI Open Water Diver or an equivalent qualification from another training agency. Bring your certification card or digital record so your instructor can verify your level before the practical day.
Junior certifications are accepted for younger divers provided they meet the minimum age and depth limits of their existing qualification. If you are unsure whether your card is valid, contact us before your session and we will confirm.
The eLearning portion is self-paced and most people complete it in a few hours spread over one or two evenings at home. The practical day typically runs as a full session including kit preparation, travel to Infanteria Beach, two dives and debriefing.
Allow a full day for the in-water component so there is no rush between dives. Weather or sea conditions may occasionally adjust start times, and we will keep you informed ahead of your session.
Your session includes PADI ReActivate eLearning access, a theory review with your instructor, two guided open-water dives and full equipment hire. Activity cover for the dive day is also included.
You'll need to arrange your own transport to the meeting point in Los Belones, plus any food and drinks for the day. Photos, videos and personal travel cover are not part of the package.
Both open-water dives are conducted from Infanteria Beach on the Cabo de Palos coastline. You'll meet at our dive school on c/ Isaac Peral in Los Belones, then travel by van to the entry point chosen for the best conditions that day.
Shore diving from Infanteria offers easy access to rocky reefs and seagrass beds ideal for skill practice. The area is well known among Mediterranean divers for visibility and marine biodiversity.
No. Full scuba kit is provided, including cylinder, regulator, buoyancy jacket, wetsuit, mask, fins and weights suited to your size. The team checks everything before you enter the water.
If you prefer to use your own mask or fins for comfort, you are welcome to bring them. Let your instructor know about any prescription mask requirements when you arrive.
Your first dive focuses on skill review at shallow depth: buoyancy control, regulator recovery, mask clearing and controlled ascents. Your instructor watches your technique closely and adjusts the pace to match your comfort level.
The second dive takes you deeper once the essentials feel familiar again. You'll reconnect with the rhythm of diving, checking gauges, finning efficiently and enjoying the underwater scenery while staying aware of your buddy and surroundings.
Diving depends on sea state, visibility and wind, so sessions may be postponed when conditions are unsafe or uncomfortable for training. We monitor forecasts closely and will contact you to reschedule rather than push ahead in marginal weather.
If a session is postponed for weather, we will offer an alternative date. Your instructor selects the best entry point at Infanteria Beach based on conditions on the day.
Once you have completed ReActivate to your instructor's satisfaction, you are in a much stronger position to explore the Cabo de Palos marine reserve and other local sites with confidence.
Your instructor explains depth guidelines and local conditions when you are ready for deeper or more adventurous routes in the area.
Start your PADI eLearning at home before the practical day so your time with the instructor focuses on diving. Arrive at the meeting point with swimwear, a towel and your certification details ready for a smooth start.
We collect your contact details ahead of your session and confirm your certification level. Complete the eLearning modules in advance and bring confirmation of completion on the day.
