Designed specifically for younger children, this paddleboarding session introduces the basics of SUP through games, activities and age-appropriate coaching. Using equipment adapted for smaller paddlers, the lesson focuses on building confidence, encouraging water skills and ensuring children have plenty of fun along the way.
This session has been created especially for younger children who may not yet be ready for a standard paddleboarding lesson. Rather than focusing heavily on technical instruction, the experience uses games, challenges and fun exercises to introduce paddleboarding in an engaging and enjoyable way. Instructors adapt their teaching style to suit younger participants, helping children feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Specially selected boards and paddles are used throughout the lesson to make handling the equipment easier for smaller paddlers. Children will learn how to stand, paddle and move around on the board while gradually developing balance and confidence. The relaxed atmosphere encourages participation without pressure, allowing each child to progress at their own pace.
Many families choose this activity when adults are taking part in their own paddleboarding lessons, but it also works perfectly as a standalone experience. Whether it's their first time on the water or they already have some experience, children are encouraged to learn through play while enjoying time outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.
Pollensa Bay provides calm, sheltered areas that are particularly well suited to younger paddlers. The gentle conditions help children focus on having fun and learning new skills without feeling overwhelmed by challenging water conditions.
Families can make use of excellent facilities including hot showers, changing rooms, a swimming pool and a sea-facing bar and restaurant. The surrounding beaches and open spaces also make it easy to enjoy a full family day by the coast.
No previous paddleboarding experience is required. The lesson is designed specifically for children and can be adapted to suit different confidence levels and abilities.
Parents should ensure children bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and drinks. A positive attitude and willingness to get involved are all that's needed to enjoy the session.
