The tour begins in Brockenhurst, a convenient location accessible by train or bus, and is also within walking distance if you're staying nearby. The ride covers 11.8 miles through the heart of the New Forest, incorporating scenic Forest gravel tracks and roads. Highlights of the tour include the Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, renowned for its beautiful landscape, and a ride over the iconic Black Water Bridge.
During the tour, you’ll experience the serene forest environment, with your guide pointing out notable features and ensuring you get the most out of your ride. The route is designed to be leisurely and enjoyable, catering to all levels of cyclists, while still providing a taste of the forest’s beauty and charm.

The starting point, Brockenhurst, is well-connected and offers easy access for those arriving by various modes of transport.
Participants should ensure their bikes are in good, safe working order. It is advisable to carry a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube, and bike pump. Helmets must be within the manufacturer's warranty period (three years from the date of manufacture).
All riders will receive a detailed information form via email post-booking, which must be completed and returned before the activity date.
Our tour is led by a fully qualified Mountain Bike Leader – Level 2, accredited through British Cycling, ensuring you receive expert guidance throughout your ride. Safety is paramount; our leader is DBS checked, approved, and holds a qualification in Outdoor First Aid.
We also provide public liability insurance through British Cycling. This comprehensive approach ensures a safe, enjoyable, and memorable cycling experience.
If you have your own bike then please bring it along. If needed, we can arrange for bike hire for you.
We can offer standard mountain bikes or e-bikes, bikes come from Cyclexperience in Brockenhurst.

While we can accept children on our tours it is on the understanding that they must be able to ride confidently on the road.
Although not all of our tours involve road cycling, there may be times when there are sections that need to be travelled on road.
We require all riders to fill in a rider information form ahead of their tour. Within this includes information about any medical conditions you have. Completing these forms is part of ensuring that you are insured on your ride.

All of our tours feature a ‘pit stop’ at a local café or place to eat.

The location is also serviced by the regular Bluestar 6 bus route. If you're staying locally, walking to the starting point is an option.
