MTB, E-Bike & Gravel Bike Hire in the New Forest National Park

Our cycle hire centre in the New Forest offers completely free parking just a short walk away from our location. Please use the gravel car park situated above the village, across the road from Burley School, to take advantage of this saving. This convenient parking solution is unique to our centre and can save you up to £5 a day compared to other hire locations in the area.

Yes, we provide a bike delivery service for those who cannot easily visit our centre. A minimum hire of 2 bikes is required for delivery. We offer this service free within a 5-mile radius of our cycle centre. Please ensure to give us at least 48 hours’ notice to arrange the delivery, excluding bank holidays.

The bike hire rate includes the chosen bike, a helmet, a lock, a puncture repair kit, and access to our call-out assistance service. For adults, bikes like the Premium Suspension Bike, Gravel Bike, and Cube E-MTB are available, while for children, we offer bikes with 24" and 20" wheels, tag-a-longs, and trailers. Prices vary based on the bike type, with adult options ranging from £24 to £95, and children’s options at £11, plus £5 for a child seat.

Yes, all bike hires require a deposit, and 2 forms of ID per party must be presented at the time of hire. The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment. Additionally, bikes for children under 16 must be booked by an adult.

The New Forest boasts over 100 miles of compacted gravel trails, offering a great all-weather cycling experience suitable for all ages and abilities. From our central forest location, you can access 9 diverse and enjoyable routes, featuring a mix of stunning gravel and quiet tarmac sections, perfect for leisure and family cycling. These routes can also be extended for more adventurous cyclists.

Our New Forest Cycle Route maps are readily available both online and in our store. These maps provide a detailed and easy-to-follow guide, ensuring you have the best possible experience exploring the New Forest trails. When you book, we will give you the option to purchase these in advance online, or we can help you choose in-store.

The minimum age for hiring an E-Bike is 14 years old, and we don’t provide child seats for these bikes. However, trailer buggies can be attached for children from 9 months old. The maximum group size for bike hire is 20 individuals.

We reserve the right to release bikes to other customers if they are not collected by 12pm midday. You can collect at 10am on weekdays, or 9am on weekends. This applies to all online bookings, unless direct contact is made with us on the day of hire. It’s important to return bikes by 5pm during the summer season (April-September) and by 4pm in the winter season (October-March).

In the rare event of a mechanical fault with our hired items that cannot be resolved during the hire, we will issue a full refund for that particular item. We strive to provide well-maintained equipment, but in case of unexpected issues, our call-out service is available to address any problems.

Our purpose-built Cycle Hire and Sales Centre at Burley is centrally located close to the New Forest cycle routes and trails.

Find us easily by car via dual carriageway routes from Bournemouth (just 20 mins away) and the west, as well as Southampton (just 30 minutes away), and is only 1 ½ hours from the London area via motorway and dual carriageway links.

Don’t forget that the New Forest Tour Bus red route and new blue route (seasonal operation) with open top options, stops right outside our front door… the most relaxing car-free way to get to us.
