Combine Moalboal island hopping with Badian canyoneering and a swim at Kawasan Falls on one full-day adventure from Cebu. Snorkel Pescador Island, swim with turtles and witness the sardine run before tackling canyon jumps, slides and turquoise pools inland, with lunch and all transport included.
The morning opens with a drive west to Moalboal for island hopping by local boat. Snorkel at Pescador Island, spot sea turtles and witness the sardine run where dense shoals swirl close to the reef, with equipment and safety briefings provided at each water entry.
Afternoon brings the transfer to Badian for canyoneering with helmet, life vest and water shoes. Follow your guide through jumps from around 20 feet, natural water slides and swims in deep lagoons before emerging at Kawasan Falls for a final dip. Lunch is served at a local restaurant before the evening drive back to your hotel in Cebu City or Mactan.
Moalboal on Cebu's west coast is known for reef snorkelling and the famous sardine shoals just offshore. The coastal setting offers clear water and easy boat access to Pescador Island and turtle point.
Badian Canyon and Kawasan Falls lie inland to the south-west, linked by mountain roads through rural Cebu. The contrast between open-ocean snorkelling and forest canyon pools makes this one of the island's most varied single-day routes.
Guests must be at least 16 years old and comfortable swimming in open water for the snorkelling and canyon sections. Reasonable fitness helps on this long day with multiple activities, though no prior canyoneering experience is required.
Individual canyon jumps can be skipped with your guide's help. Wear a swimsuit under quick-dry clothes and secure footwear with good grip for wet rocks throughout the day.
Three headline experiences are packed into one organised day with minivan transport, boat trips, canyon gear, lunch and a local guide who knows both coast and canyon.
One guide team handles logistics between Moalboal and Badian, keeping the schedule on track so you can focus on the sardine run, reef snorkelling and the adrenaline of the canyon route without sorting transfers yourself.
Pickup time depends on your hotel in Cebu City, Mactan or Mandaue and is confirmed once we have your hotel details and know your accommodation. The day is long, with island hopping at Moalboal in the morning and canyoneering at Badian in the afternoon.
Your driver and guide keep the schedule moving so you reach each activity in good time. An early start ensures you have the full morning on the water before heading inland for the canyon section.
Yes. Round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off are included, along with road transport between Moalboal and Badian in a minivan with your guide.
Local motorboat transfers for island hopping are also part of the package, so you do not need to arrange any transport between the coast and the canyon yourself.
At Moalboal you board a local boat for snorkelling at Pescador Island, turtle spotting and the sardine run, where dense shoals swirl close to the reef. Snorkelling gear is provided for the water sessions.
Your guide briefs you on boat safety and where to enter the water at each stop. The morning on the water is a highlight for many guests, with colourful reef fish and the famous sardine shoals just below the surface.
After Moalboal you travel to Badian for canyoneering with helmet, life vest and water shoes. The route includes jumps from around 20 feet, swims, natural slides and boulder scrambles before you finish at Kawasan Falls.
You can skip individual jumps with your guide's help if needed. Basic swimming confidence is important because much of the canyon route is in water, and your guide sets a steady pace for the group throughout.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant after Kawasan Falls before the drive back to your hotel. Mention dietary needs when you share your accommodation name so your guide can plan ahead where possible.
Bring snacks and water for the long day if you want extras between stops. The included lunch is a welcome break after the morning snorkelling and afternoon canyon adventure.
Guests must be at least 16 years old for this combined adventure because of the canyoneering section. All participants need reasonable fitness and confidence in open water for snorkelling and canyon swims.
If anyone in your group is unsure about jumps or open-water swimming, your guide can suggest alternatives at specific sections and help everyone find a comfortable pace through the day.
Wear a swimsuit under quick-dry clothes and bring water shoes, towel and change of clothes. A waterproof camera or phone pouch is ideal for snorkelling and canyon sections.
Reef-safe sunscreen and a hat help on the boat and during transfers. Pack light snacks and a refillable water bottle since this is a long day with multiple activities.
Snorkelling equipment, canyoneering helmet, life vest and water shoes are included. Your guide fits gear at each stage of the day and explains how to use it safely in the water and on wet rocks.
Bring your own mask only if you prefer a personal fit. A dry bag or waterproof pouch keeps your phone and valuables safe during both the boat and canyon sections.
Sea conditions at Moalboal and water levels in Badian Canyon can be affected by weather. Your guide may adjust the order of activities or focus on the safest sections if conditions change during the day.
Light rain may still allow the trip with modified pacing. Your guide will explain any changes and help your group make the most of each stop regardless of conditions.
Groups are kept to one to five guests, which allows your guide to stay focused during snorkelling, boat transfers and the canyon route throughout this packed day.
Larger parties may need to split across separate departures. The small group size means everyone gets attention during each activity and transfer between Moalboal and Badian.
