Gather your friends or family and take on the Cornish coast in a whole new way with a giant stand-up paddleboarding safari. Paddle together on an oversized board built for up to 10 people as you explore tidal gullies, sea caves, and peaceful coves. These guided safaris combine teamwork, balance and ocean adventure in a laid-back but active session that’s packed with fun.
Your session begins with a dry land briefing where your guide will introduce the basics of paddling, teamwork, and safety. Once everyone is kitted out, you’ll head to the water for a two-hour guided adventure. The giant SUP allows you to work together as a team to explore further than you could solo, with opportunities to paddle into caves, around islands, or across open stretches of sea depending on conditions.
Routes are planned with the weather and tides in mind to give you the best and safest experience. You might glide past dramatic cliffs, venture into hidden gullies, or pause at little-known beaches only accessible by water. Throughout the trip, your guide will support you with tips on coordination and technique while keeping the energy high and the pace suitable for your group. Complimentary photos are captured along the way so you can relive the experience long after the paddle ends.
Sessions take place at either Cadgwith Cove or Mullion Cove on the Lizard Peninsula. Both are picturesque, historic fishing villages offering access to quiet stretches of coast, offshore islands and sea caves ideal for exploring.
The precise meeting point is confirmed the day before your booking based on the weather and sea conditions. This flexible approach ensures safety and the best possible experience on the day.
Participants should be comfortable in the water and physically able to paddle as part of a team, though you do not need prior paddleboarding experience.
The session is suitable for families, friends, stag and hen groups, or corporate outings looking for a unique way to enjoy the coast together.
The centre is one of the longest-running adventure sports providers in the UK, known for its professional coaching and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. With 20 years of experience and a hand-picked team of over a dozen expert instructors, they’re committed to creating memorable ocean-based experiences for all abilities.
Led by a former British Team Head Coach and supported by top-level lifeguard trainers, the team prides itself on combining top-tier safety standards with fun, tailored instruction. Sessions are thoughtfully delivered in beautiful coastal settings, with flexibility built in to respond to changing conditions.
A Giant SUP (stand-up paddleboard) is a much larger version of a standard paddleboard, specifically designed to carry multiple people—up to 10 at once. It requires coordination and teamwork as everyone paddles together to navigate the water.
While solo paddleboarding focuses more on individual balance and technique, a Giant SUP turns it into a shared experience that's all about group effort and fun.
Not at all. These sessions are beginner-friendly and suitable for anyone who is confident in the water.
Before heading out, your guide will provide a dry land briefing covering basic techniques, safety, and how to work together on the board. You'll be supported throughout, so no prior paddleboarding experience is necessary.
You don’t need to be super fit, but a reasonable level of physical ability is recommended. Paddling as a group requires some effort and coordination, especially if the conditions are more lively.
If you're comfortable with light physical activity and being in the sea, you'll be absolutely fine.
Safety is always the priority. If conditions at the planned location are unsuitable, you’ll be offered an alternative nearby location, such as switching between Mullion Cove and Cadgwith Cove.
The decision is made the day before based on tides, swell, and wind direction, and you’ll be contacted directly with final details.
Please bring swimwear to wear under your wetsuit, a towel, and some warm, dry clothes to change into afterwards.
It's also a good idea to bring water and snacks for after the session, especially if you're travelling or exploring the area afterwards.
Yes, children aged 10 and over can join, provided they are accompanied by an adult and are confident in the water.
The group nature of the session makes it great for families, but younger children may find it physically demanding depending on sea conditions.
There’s a good chance you will, and it’s all part of the fun. Balancing on a Giant SUP with multiple people makes it quite different to a solo board. Some groups stay dry, others enjoy a few splashy tumbles—it really depends on your coordination and teamwork.
We believe Mega SUP Paddleboarding is one of the best activities to take part in as a family. However if you wanted to just send your children then as we are an AALA approved centre then this is fine.
Please note they need to be 10 year or older to join a tour without parent supervision.

Coasterring with Lizard adventure. Great day out. Rory was great with us. Got some sea snacks along the way. Great jumps for all levels. Saw the seals. All in all a great day out
I was impressed that Steve contacted me to ask if my adolescents would like a more adventurous experience and tailored the coasteering to them. They all had a great time - came back exhilarated and exhausted. Thanks also for taking some great photos
We had a fab time with Steve guiding us. A wide range of abilities and Steve enabled us all to meet our challenges and succeed. Highly recommend this as an amazing activity. Thumbs up for Steve. Thank you.
Five stars great fun and engaging and entertaining hosting!
It was great and our guide was very enthusiastic, personable and conscientious. Thankyou!
Absolutely fabulous. Chris(?) the instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful but also definitely a ‘people person’. It was my first ever time and I loved every second of it. Will definitely do again. But wanting to make this a frequent thing for me. Sad to think it may not be…
Adam was a very knowledgeable and seemingly very experienced guide on our sea kayaking adventure from Mullion Cove. We had a great time, paddling alongside seals and in and out of caves and coves.
We partner with Rewilding Britain to help protect our natural spaces for future adventures.
