Zip lines in the trees, a guided rappel, and a cenote swim, all in one jungle park. The crew fits the harnesses and talks you through each bit before you do it, including the children in the group. We collect you from your hotel and bring you back when the circuit is finished.
After pickup you arrive at the park and the zip lines come first. Staff fit your harness at the platform, show you how to leave and how to brake, and send the group across one person at a time so you can see the landing before it is your turn.
The rappel is the quieter, lean-back moment, with the rope and the descent explained before you commit to it. Then there is time in the cenote on site, life jacket on if the crew hands you one, which feels brilliant after the platforms, before the transfer home.
The park is in the Chemuyil jungle, inland from the beaches, with platforms set among the trees rather than out over the sea. The cenote is on the same property, so the swim follows the lines without another long drive in between.
Shade is a bit scarce up on the platforms, and the crew shows you where to wait between turns so you are not standing in the sun for no reason. If the weather closes a line for the morning, they tell you the new order before you clip in.
Come ready for sun and humidity, and you will need to be at least 5 years old. A hat, sun cream and water make the waiting between turns much nicer, so have them with you before the first platform.
The cenote is a simple swim if you are happy in a life jacket and can follow the guide. On the zip lines and the rappel you wear the harness they fit, and you only start once that check has happened in front of you.
Harness checks happen on the platform you are about to use, so you can see the line and ask about the brake before you step off. The rappel is led the whole way, with someone on the rope who stays in voice contact, which makes it feel steady even if it is your first time.
Groups here mix ages, and the crew leaves room for newer people to watch a full crossing before their own go. The harness comes off when that section ends, so you walk to the cenote in normal clothes and actually enjoy the water.
Hotel lobby pickup applies on routes that include transport; be ready at the stated departure time with photo ID for children if parks require it.
Self drivers receive meeting point coordinates and parking notes from the operator ahead of the activity date.
A meal is not part of this visit, so eat beforehand and bring water with you. A snack in your bag is useful if you get hungry between stops.
Bring more water than you expect to drink if you are out over the middle of the day. A hat makes the sunny stretches much easier.
Light rain does not usually stop the visit. Lightning, a rough sea or a track that is too soft can shorten or move a section, and the guide explains that before you continue.
You will hear the change before you kit up for the next part. The group stays together while that decision is made.
Anyone taking part needs to be at least 5 years old, and children need an adult with them. The guide will say before a section starts if it is not suitable for someone in your group.
They need to be able to listen to the safety talk and stay with the group. The same briefing applies to adults and to children.
You should be comfortable wearing a life jacket and following the guide in the water. You do not need to be a strong swimmer.
The guide stays nearby and calls the group out together. If you would like to stay closer to the entry, say so before you get in.
You can bring a phone or a camera if it is secure and you can spare a hand. Ask the crew before you attach anything to a helmet, a harness or a handlebar.
If someone is taking photos for the group that day, the crew will say so when you arrive. They will also tell you where to collect them afterwards.
If a ruin, a reserve or a beach asks for a local payment, the guide explains it before you get to the entrance. It helps to have a little cash with you in case that happens.
Tips for the crew are your own choice at the end of the day. The guide is the person to ask if you are not sure what a site is asking for.
Bring a dry bag for a phone and anything else you want to keep dry. Ask the crew when you arrive if there is somewhere to change and leave a bag.
Put your name on anything you set down. The group moves between stops, and bags are easy to mix up.
A phone in a waterproof pouch is the simplest option on a boat or in the water. Ask the crew before you strap a camera to a helmet or a machine.
Drones and flash are often not allowed near wildlife or at the ruins. Follow what the guide and the site ask on the day.
Wear light clothes you can move in, closed shoes, and a hat. This includes platforms and a cenote, so sun cream and a bottle of water are worth having from the start.
Bring swimwear underneath if the visit includes a swim, and a dry layer for the van or the boat. Secure anything you do not want to lose.
You should come ready for zip lines, a guided rappel and a cenote swim. Most of the time is outside, so the heat is as much a part of the day as the activity itself.
Take water when you need it, and tell the guide at the start if you want a slower place in the group. That is much easier than trying to catch them once everyone is already moving.
