Whether you're stepping onto a board for the first time or refining more advanced techniques, these kitesurf lessons are tailored to your experience and goals. Flexible lesson formats, experienced instructors, and quality equipment allow you to progress at your own pace while building confidence safely on the water.
Choose the lesson style that suits the way you want to learn. Private lessons include one student with one kite and one instructor, making them ideal for personalised coaching and are the recommended option for younger participants. Semi-private lessons include two students, each with their own kite, sharing one instructor. If you're booking on your own, the team will do their best to pair you with another participant. Group lessons are designed as an introduction to the sport, with four participants sharing two kites under the guidance of one instructor, and require all four people to book together. Riders who are already able to ride confidently in both directions can choose supervised sessions to continue developing their skills with professional oversight.
Training follows a structured progression while remaining flexible enough to match your individual development. Day one introduces wind theory, the wind window, equipment setup, safety systems, and independent kite control on the beach. Once you're comfortable controlling the kite on land, you'll move into the water to practise body dragging, learning how to generate power, control the kite in the water, and recover your board.
As your confidence increases, you'll begin working on water starts before progressing towards riding consistently and learning to stay upwind. Alex and the instructor team adapt every session to your progress, ensuring you fully understand each stage before moving on. Although many guests choose the recommended four-day programme for the best overall progression, you're welcome to book as many days as you need, with a minimum lesson duration of two hours per day.
Lessons take place on the beaches of Sant Pere Pescador, an area well known for its reliable wind conditions and wide stretch of coastline. The meeting point is close to Carrer del Mar, providing easy access before heading onto the beach for your session.
Between lessons, you'll find cafés, restaurants, and open beachfront areas nearby where you can relax, watch other riders, or simply enjoy spending time by the sea. The spacious beach creates excellent conditions for both learning and practising new techniques.
These lessons are suitable for complete beginners through to experienced kitesurfers, depending on the lesson type you choose. Supervised sessions are intended for riders who are already confident riding in both directions.
Participants should weigh at least 30kg. No previous experience is required for private, semi-private, or group lessons, as instruction is adapted to your current ability.
Every lesson is designed around your individual progress rather than following a fixed timetable. Modern equipment, structured coaching, and a strong emphasis on safety allow you to learn naturally while enjoying plenty of practical time both on the beach and on the water.
Led by Alex, the experienced instructor team enjoys helping students develop confidence and technique in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you're aiming to master the basics or improve advanced riding skills, you'll receive personalised coaching throughout your time on the course.
Yes. You can select the lesson format that best suits your experience and how you prefer to learn. Private lessons offer one-to-one instruction, semi-private lessons pair two students with their own kites, group lessons are designed for four people who book together, and supervised sessions are available for experienced riders.
Each option follows the same high teaching standards, with your instructor adapting the session to your ability and the conditions on the day.
Yes. If you would like a semi-private lesson but are travelling alone, the team will try to match you with another participant so you can share the instructor while each using your own kite.
This gives you the benefits of learning alongside another student while still receiving plenty of individual coaching throughout the session.
You can choose between one and four days, depending on your goals and the amount of time you have available. Every lesson lasts at least two hours each day.
The four-day programme is recommended because it allows your instructor to build on your progress each day, helping you develop your skills more consistently.
Your first session begins with the foundations of safe kitesurfing. You'll learn about wind direction, the wind window, equipment setup, safety systems, and how to control the kite independently on the beach.
Taking time to build these core skills creates confidence before moving into the water, making the following sessions far more productive.
Once you've mastered kite control, you'll move on to body dragging exercises, which teach you how to use the kite's power efficiently while recovering your board in the water.
As your confidence develops, lessons progress to water starts before introducing riding in both directions and learning how to maintain an upwind course.
Yes. All the specialist equipment needed for your lesson is included, including the kite, control bar, board, harness, wetsuit, buoyancy vest, and helmet.
Using modern, well-maintained equipment allows you to focus entirely on learning without needing to bring or hire additional gear.
