Experienced riders can rent kitesurf equipment directly on the beaches of Tarifa with access to modern gear suited to a range of riding styles and wind conditions. Whether you prefer twin-tip, strapless, or foil riding, equipment is selected according to the daily forecast to help you make the most of your time on the water.
Kite and Bar Package
Ideal for riders travelling with their own board but needing kite equipment suited to Tarifa’s daily conditions. The package includes a kite and control bar setup, with different kite sizes available depending on the forecast and your riding style.
Board Rental
Choose between twin-tip or strapless boards depending on your preferred style of riding. This option suits riders bringing their own kite equipment while wanting to test different boards or avoid travelling with bulky equipment.
Full Equipment Rental
A complete setup including kite, bar, board, wetsuit, and harness for riders wanting everything organised directly on the beach. Twin-tip and strapless packages are both available, with equipment adjusted throughout the session if wind conditions change.
Equipment Testing and Swaps
Riders also have the opportunity to test different setups during their rental session, including strapless, twin-tip, and foil equipment where available. The team remains on the beach to assist with gear adjustments, launching, and changing kite sizes when required.
Operating from the beaches around Tarifa, the rental service gives riders direct access to some of Europe’s best-known kitesurfing conditions. Areas such as Los Lances and Valdevaqueros provide wide open beaches, consistent wind, and enough space for freeride, strapless, and foil sessions throughout the season.
Away from the water, Tarifa has a strong kitesurfing culture with beach cafés, surf shops, and an active atmosphere during both the summer and lower season months. Daily rental arrangements are usually organised around Agua Chiringuito depending on the forecast and riding location.
Rental equipment is only available for independent riders with solid kite control and safe riding ability. Participants should already be able to ride upwind consistently, relaunch the kite independently, recover the board through body dragging, and manage launching and landing safely.
Riders without recognised certification may still be able to rent equipment after completing a short level assessment on the beach to confirm safe independent riding ability.
More than just a rental service, the setup is designed to help riders get the best possible conditions during their session. Advice on wind direction, beach setup, and suitable equipment sizes is available throughout the day, helping riders adapt safely as conditions change.
Latest-generation equipment is updated regularly and selected carefully to suit Tarifa’s wind conditions. Support on the beach, flexible gear swaps, and local knowledge of the riding areas create a more comfortable and practical experience for visiting riders.
Rental equipment is intended for independent riders who can already control the kite safely and ride confidently without instruction. Riders should be comfortable riding upwind, relaunching the kite, recovering the board through body dragging, and managing launching and landing procedures independently.
An IKO or equivalent certification card is recommended to confirm your level. Riders without certification may still be able to rent after completing a short assessment on the beach.
Several rental options are available including kite and bar packages, board-only rental, or complete equipment setups. Riders can choose between twin-tip and strapless boards depending on their riding style and experience.
Full equipment rentals include the wetsuit and harness, while different kite sizes are selected according to the wind forecast for the day.
Yes, riders can usually change kite sizes during the session if the wind conditions change. Support remains available on the beach throughout the day to help adjust equipment and organise suitable setups.
Different board styles may also be available depending on conditions and availability, allowing riders to test equipment suited to their riding preferences.
Riders without an official certification card can usually complete a short riding assessment before renting equipment. This helps confirm safe independent riding ability and ensures the rental conditions are suitable for your level.
If the assessment is successful, riders may also be able to organise official certification confirming their independent riding standard.
Yes, support is available directly on the beach throughout the rental session. Assistance includes setup support, launch help, wind advice, and changing kite sizes if conditions vary during the day.
This is especially useful for visiting riders unfamiliar with Tarifa’s wind conditions and beach layouts.
Rental sessions usually take place around Los Lances and Valdevaqueros depending on the wind direction and forecast. Tarifa offers a variety of riding conditions suitable for freeride, strapless, and foil sessions.
The exact meeting point and beach choice are normally organised the day before according to the expected conditions.
