🌊 What to Expect

Guides provide a quick briefing before you launch from Cala Granadella, a protected bay with crystal-clear waters and striking cliffs. Once on the water, you’ll paddle along the coastline, discovering natural caves, pebble beaches, and secluded inlets.

The first stop is Cala en Caló, an isolated cove reachable only by kayak. Snorkel through a stunning underwater cave, surrounded by schools of fish in pristine waters. Its hidden location ensures peace and privacy, a rare feature along the busy Costa Blanca.

Next, Cova del Llop Marí awaits, a cave rich in marine life and geological formations. Starfish, octopus, and sea urchins inhabit the cave while the colourful rock walls showcase millennia of natural processes. Local legend says migrating sea lions once frequented this cave, giving it its name.

Finally, you’ll reach Cala Ambolo, a quiet beach with historical significance and a peaceful atmosphere. Closed to the public, it’s accessible by kayak and offers a perfect spot for a swim, photos, or simply enjoying the calm surroundings before heading back to the launch point.

📍 Location

Cala Granadella is a sheltered bay at the southern end of Javea, surrounded by cliffs and Mediterranean scrub that protect the waters from wind and waves. It offers calm, clear waters ideal for families and beginners.

The beach is accessed via Granadella Road, approximately 15–20 minutes from Javea town centre. Summer months can be busy, so arriving early or taking a taxi is advised. Parking is limited and sometimes restricted, but a booked kayak reservation helps ensure entry.
