After a short transfer inland from downtown Tulum, you get an ATV briefing on the Yamaha 350cc fleet, then ride a guided 8 km jungle course for around 45 minutes of dusty, rugged terrain. Guides keep the group together while you take in the forest canopy and the off-road feel of the Riviera Maya interior.
La Gran Cueva offers a walk of nearly 200 metres among ancient formations, followed by quieter cenote stops for a swim in crystal-clear cave pools. The day wraps with a light locally sourced lunch and refreshments at base camp before the private van returns you to Tulum.
