Jebel Jais sits in Ras Al Khaimah, in the Hajar mountains, not in Dubai city. You can choose the 2.83 kilometre Flight line or the six-line Sky Tour that covers about 5 kilometres and finishes at the UAE's highest sky bridge. Hotel transfer from Dubai is available on matching rates, which is the practical way to reach the mountain without a hire car.
After check-in and a harness briefing you clip onto either one long Flight line or a sequence of six Sky Tour lines. Average speeds on Sky Tour are around 60 kph, and staff control each launch. You look over cliffs and canyons rather than a city skyline.
This is a Ras Al Khaimah mountain day, not the Xline urban ride in Dubai Marina. If you need a driver, choose the transfer rate so you are not navigating the mountain road in a hire car you have never driven. Flight guests must meet the 12-year and 45 kg rule, while Sky Tour may accept younger children subject to staff checks.
Jebel Jais is the highest mountain in the UAE, inland from the Ras Al Khaimah coast. The setting is rock, ridgeline and cooler air at altitude, a clear contrast with Dubai Marina or Al Barsha.
From Dubai the drive is north into the Northern Emirates. Transfer guests are collected from their hotel and returned after the ride. Independent guests should allow well over an hour each way and should not plan a tight Marina dinner immediately afterwards.
Flight guests must be over 12 and over 45 kg. Sky Tour may accept younger children from the product minimum of three, subject to staff checks on weight and harness fit.
You need to be comfortable with heights and a full-body harness, and you do not need prior zipline experience. Bring a passport or photo ID, wear closed shoes, and tie long hair so it cannot catch in the kit.
You can pick the single long Flight or the six-line Sky Tour, and add a Dubai hotel transfer so the mountain day is organised end to end. Staff harness you, brief you, and control launches, so first-timers are not left to figure out the platforms alone.
The lines run over Hajar cliffs and canyons, which is a different outing from an urban marina cable. Temperatures on the ridge can be cooler than the city, so the wait at platforms still needs sun protection and water in summer.
