Fantastic morning on the water for the whole family!

Jump into the exciting world of white water paddleboarding, where the thrill of navigating rapids awaits. This session provides an ideal opportunity for those looking to transfer their flat water skills into a dynamic river environment. Under the guidance of a qualified coach with extensive experience, you will learn the essential techniques for safe and enjoyable paddling on moving water.
During this session, participants will begin by discussing the fundamental differences between flat water and river paddling. Your coach will guide you through the process of transferring your existing skills to a more challenging environment. This includes techniques for using the flow of the water to navigate efficiently, as well as strategies for maintaining balance and control on your board.
Throughout the day, practical demonstrations will cover essential topics such as personal safety in white water settings, simple rescues, and effective kit planning. You will engage in hands-on exercises that reinforce these skills, allowing you to gain confidence as you tackle small rapids and learn how to monitor your height and positioning in the water. With plenty of opportunities for questions and feedback, you will leave with a solid foundation in white water paddleboarding.
The sessions take place in and around Fort William, renowned for its amazing landscapes and wide selection of local rivers.
This scenic setting not only enhances the experience but also provides a safe and controlled environment for learning.
Participants should be comfortable paddling on flat water before attending this session. Familiarity with basic paddleboarding techniques will greatly enhance your ability to transfer those skills to the challenges of white water.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential for making the most of this wonderful opportunity.
