Discover the treasures of Dorset with our 'Hidden Dorset' sea kayaking adventure. This half-day trip offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and rich history of Dorset's coastline, guided by experienced professionals.
On the 'Hidden Dorset' sea kayaking trip, you'll begin with a thorough safety briefing and introduction to basic paddling techniques. Setting off from Osprey Leisure Centre, you'll navigate through the peaceful waters of the largest man-made harbour in the world. Your journey will lead you to discover secluded sandy coves, navigate through a tidal lagoon, and marvel at the iconic Olympic rings and historic castles that dot the coastline.
As you paddle along, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings; Dorset's waters are home to a variety of seabirds, and if luck is on your side, you might catch a glimpse of seals or even dolphins. Your experienced guides will share local insights into the area's ecology and maritime history, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of this unique environment. Midway through, you'll have the chance to engage in optional activities such as swimming or taking a break on Chesil Beach, the largest pebble beach in the UK.
