Marvel at iconic landmarks such as Għar Lapsi, Wied iż-Żurrieq, and the Blue Grotto while being guided by a professional crew. The flexible itinerary accommodates sea and weather conditions, ensuring a comfortable experience tailored to guests' needs.
- Scenic coastal cruise showcasing Malta's dramatic cliffs and clear waters
- Swimming stops at St Peter’s Pool and Imgiebah Bay (conditions permitting)
- Relaxed lunch break at Popeye Village on anchor with time for leisure
- Suitable for travelers seeking an outdoor, leisurely adventure
After leaving Sliema the first short swim stop is often planned at St Peter's Pool or Hofriet Bay, two natural limestone swimming holes with clear water when the sea is calm. The crew brief you before anyone enters the water and keep the stop short enough to protect the rest of the coastal loop.
If swell or wind make swimming unsafe here, the boat continues along the south coast and the crew will explain the change. Either way you get an early sense of how dramatic Malta looks from sea level.
Cruise past the Blue Grotto sea caves, famous for electric blue water and limestone arches best viewed from the boat. This stretch is usually sightseeing rather than a long swim stop, giving everyone a clear view of one of Malta's most photographed coastal landmarks.
Light and sea colour change through the morning, so keep a camera ready. The crew slow the boat where it is safe so you can take in the arches without rushing.
Pass the narrow, fjord-like inlet of Wied iz-Zurrieq and the fishing village coastline around Ghar Lapsi. These southern stretches are about cliffs, clear water and traditional harbours seen from offshore rather than long shore landings.
Conditions decide how close the boat can run. When the sea is kind you get some of the most dramatic rock scenery of the whole circumnavigation.
A longer stop near Popeye Village in Anchor Bay is typically used for lunch, swimming and a slower break in sheltered water. It is one of the most scenic pauses on the route and gives you time to eat, cool off and enjoy the bay without racing the next landmark.
Continue along Malta's stunning north coast, enjoying breathtaking views of Paradise Bay and Golden Bay before arriving at the beautiful island of Comino. Here, you'll cruise past the world-famous Blue Lagoon with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and explore the spectacular sea caves of the Crystal Lagoon, offering unforgettable sightseeing opportunities.
Continue along the north coast for a relaxing swim stop at either Selmun Bay or Imġiebaħ Bay, depending on the sea conditions. These secluded bays are known for their crystal-clear turquoise waters and peaceful surroundings, making them the perfect place to swim, snorkel, or simply unwind.
As always, swim stops are subject to sea conditions. If a stop isn't possible, you'll still enjoy a scenic cruise along Malta's spectacular northern coastline before heading back.
Return through Marsamxett Harbour with views of Valletta and the surrounding waterfront before arriving back in Sliema in the late afternoon. The crew wrap up the day, collect kit and help everyone leave the boat safely.
By this stage you have seen a full coastal loop in a single shared sailing, with swim and lunch stops woven around the weather rather than forced against it.
Meet at Pathfinder's berth in Sliema, Malta, for the Round Malta shared cruise. Follow the boarding notes in your confirmation for the exact point on Sliema Harbour or Sliema Front on the day.
Sliema is easy to reach by bus or taxi. Allow extra time in summer traffic and arrive early enough for check-in, kit collection and the safety briefing before departure.
The cruise leaves from Pathfinder's berth in Sliema Harbour. Exact boarding notes are confirmed after you book.
Arrive with time to spare so the crew can check you in, hand out snorkel kit and complete the safety briefing before departure.
The shared sailing lasts around 8 hours from departure through to the late-afternoon return to Sliema.
Exact finish time can shift with sea conditions and how long swim stops last, but the day is paced as a full coastal circumnavigation rather than a short harbour hop.
Lunch on board, snorkelling equipment, multiple swim stops, fuel and an experienced captain and crew are included.
Bring your own towel, sunscreen and swimwear. Transport to Sliema and personal extras such as soft drinks beyond what is provided on the day are not included unless stated in your confirmation.
The route is designed as a full circumnavigation hugging Malta's coastline, with stops and viewpoints that may include St Peter's Pool, the Blue Grotto area, Wied iz-Zurrieq, Popeye Village Bay, Selmun Bay and views towards Comino.
Sea and weather conditions decide the final order and which swim stops run. The crew adjusts the day so you still see the best stretches that are safe and comfortable.
Yes, weather and sea conditions permitting. We always aim to include swimming stops during the cruise, with typical locations including St Peter's Pool/Hofriet Bay, Popeye Village Bay, and Imgiebah Bay or Selmun Bay, depending on the day's conditions.
Our experienced crew will always select the safest and most enjoyable swimming locations based on the sea state. If one planned stop is unsuitable, it will simply be replaced with another sheltered swimming spot, ensuring you still enjoy plenty of time to swim in Malta's crystal-clear waters.
Families are welcome on this shared format and infant seats are available according to the operator's kit list.
Children must be supervised at all times on deck and in the water. If you are travelling with very young children, ask the team before you book so they can advise on the day's suitability.
Yes. This is a shared cruise with a maximum of about 15 guests, so you meet fellow travellers rather than chartering the whole boat.
If you want a private charter instead, ask the team about private options before booking this shared Round Malta sailing.
The cruise depends on safe sea and wind conditions. If weather makes the full route or swim stops unsuitable, the team may adjust the itinerary or contact you with next steps.
Do not assume every landmark or swim stop will run exactly as listed when conditions change. Safety always comes first.
Wear swimwear under light clothes, bring a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and non-slip sandals. A light jacket helps if it turns breezy later in the day.
Pack a reusable water bottle and your booking confirmation. Leave valuables you do not want near the water at home or in a dry bag.
No previous boat experience is required. The crew provides a safety briefing and looks after boarding, navigation and swim-stop decisions.
You should be comfortable spending a full day on a boat in the sun, moving carefully on deck and following crew instructions around the water.
