Experience a full day on the River Tay, where you'll paddle through a mix of gentle stretches and exciting rapids, all while surrounded by Scotland’s beautiful landscapes. This trip is ideal for families, groups, and special occasions, offering a fun and memorable day on the water. With expert guides, high-quality equipment, and a focus on safety, this is the only full-day rafting experience available in Perthshire.
Your rafting adventure begins with a relaxed float through the scenic Tay Valley, giving you time to take in the views and spot local wildlife. As the trip progresses, the rapids become more frequent and varied, providing the perfect mix of calm waters and exciting sections to navigate. The guides will be on hand to offer tips and ensure everyone feels comfortable, whether you’re new to rafting or have some experience.
Depending on the river levels and group preferences, we offer two different sections of the Tay for full-day trips. Unlike other providers, we take you through stretches of river that few get to experience, allowing for a more personal and peaceful journey before the faster-flowing sections begin. A riverside lunch is included, giving you a chance to refuel and relax before tackling the final part of the trip.
With expert instruction and high-quality gear provided, this is a great way to enjoy a full day on the river, whether you’re looking for an exciting challenge or a fun group outing. We also offer half-day experiences upon request.
The River Tay is Scotland’s longest river, stretching from the Highlands to the North Sea. This trip takes place in Perthshire, a prime location for rafting thanks to its varied water conditions and scenic surroundings.
The river winds through beautiful valleys and forests, offering plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. With different sections available depending on conditions, this trip ensures a unique experience each time.
Participants should be comfortable in water but do not need any previous rafting experience. A reasonable level of fitness is helpful, as paddling will be required throughout the trip.
All safety equipment and guidance will be provided to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience.
With over 20 years of experience in whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and more, our team is highly trained and passionate about providing the best experience possible. Our guides hold top-level International Rafting Federation and Whitewater Rescue qualifications, ensuring your safety on the water.
Unlike other providers, we focus on smaller groups and high-quality equipment to make sure every trip is personal and well-organised. From the moment you enquire to the day of your trip, we keep communication clear and honest, always prioritising safety and fun. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll offer alternative options to ensure you still get the best experience.
