Florence’s compact centre and riverside routes make it well suited to electric bikes, especially if you want to cover more ground without effort. An e-bike lets you move smoothly between landmarks, neighbourhoods, and green spaces while keeping full control of your time.
After check-in, you’ll be fitted to a pedal-assist e-bike and shown how to adjust the assistance levels, brakes, and display. Staff will point out suitable routes and areas to prioritise, helping you plan a ride that fits the time you’ve hired the bike for. The electric assist is particularly useful on cobbled streets and when moving between busier sections of the historic centre.
Many riders choose to follow the Arno, linking central landmarks such as Florence Cathedral and Ponte Vecchio while avoiding heavier traffic. The e-bike makes it easy to cross the river and explore neighbourhoods where daily life feels more local, without worrying about distance or fatigue.
With longer hires, you can ride west towards Cascine Park for calmer cycling, or gradually head out of the centre to quieter roads beyond the main tourist areas. The included lock allows you to combine cycling with walking, cafés, or museums, making the bike a practical base rather than a fixed route.
The pickup point is in Florence’s historic centre, within easy walking distance of the Duomo and major squares. Starting centrally means you can begin riding immediately without crossing busy outer roads.
From here, riverside paths, central streets, and residential areas are all within a short ride. Florence’s small scale means even short rentals allow you to see a lot without rushing.
All participants must be able to ride a bicycle independently and feel comfortable controlling an e-bike, including acceleration and braking. While the city is mostly flat, you’ll be riding on cobbles and shared streets, so steady handling is important.
Riders must be at least 14 years old, and no guests under 18 will be given a bike without an adult present. Child seats, trailers, and tag-along attachments are not permitted on e-bikes. A government-issued photo ID is required as a deposit, and a credit card must be kept on file for bike security.
This rental focuses on ease and flexibility. E-bikes reduce physical effort while still letting you explore independently, which is useful if you want to see more in a limited time or ride comfortably in warmer months.
