This long but varied day trip links some of the most recognisable landscapes on Turkey’s southwest coast, combining coastal swimming time, canyon walking, and the option to paraglide from one of the country’s best-known launch sites. It’s designed for travellers who want to cover a lot of ground in one day, with structured stops and guided logistics throughout.
The day starts early with hotel pick-up in Antalya and a westward drive towards Fethiye. The journey takes several hours each way and forms a significant part of the day, with changing scenery along the coastal and inland routes. A professional guide accompanies the group, managing timings and site access.
The first major stop is the Blue Lagoon at Ölüdeniz, where you’ll have free time to swim, relax on the beach, or walk along the shoreline. This section is unstructured, allowing you to set your own pace within the allocated time. From here, those who choose the optional paragliding experience transfer to the mountain launch area, while others remain in the local area.
Afterwards, the tour continues to Fethiye town for lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to Saklikent Gorge. At the gorge, you’ll walk along raised wooden platforms fixed to the rock walls, with the option to step into the cold river in certain sections. The day ends with the return drive back to Antalya.
The route covers multiple locations in southwest Turkey, including Ölüdeniz, known for its sheltered lagoon and beaches, and Fethiye, a regional hub with a working harbour and old town.
The canyon walk takes place at Saklıkent Gorge, one of the longest gorges in the country, accessed via fixed walkways above the river.
Participants should be comfortable with a long day that includes extended driving and walking on uneven surfaces. Accessing parts of the gorge may involve stepping into cold, shallow water and moving over slippery rocks.
The optional paragliding activity has specific weight requirements (20–110 kg) and is not suitable for pregnant participants or those with certain medical conditions. No previous paragliding experience is required for the tandem flight.
This tour offers a broad snapshot of the region in a single day, combining coast, mountains, and inland landscapes without needing overnight travel. Transfers, entrance fees, and lunch are organised in advance, keeping the day structured despite the long distance covered.
It also complements the wider selection of air, land, and water activities available on adventuro, where you’ll find hundreds of tours, lessons, and equipment rental options to help build a more complete itinerary around your travel plans.
