Spending quality time together outdoors is one of the best ways to create lasting memories. Designed for families of all ages and abilities, these flexible adventure days combine fun, learning and shared experiences in some of the UK's most enjoyable outdoor locations.
Every family adventure day is tailored to your group, allowing you to choose from a wide range of activities and create a day that suits your interests, ages and confidence levels. Whether you are looking for a relaxed half-day experience or a full day packed with different activities, the schedule can be adapted to make the most of the weather, your energy levels and what everyone is enjoying most.
Popular options include canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, ghyll scrambling, rock climbing, abseiling, caving, mine exploration, archery, axe throwing, air rifle shooting and laser tag. Families often combine two or more activities to create a varied day that keeps everyone engaged and involved. Your instructor will guide you throughout the experience, sharing local knowledge and helping you discover places that many visitors never find.
The flexibility of a private family booking means activities can be adjusted as the day progresses, giving younger participants extra time where needed or extending favourite parts of the adventure when possible. Every day is built around creating a positive shared experience that everyone can enjoy together.
Activities take place throughout the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and other suitable locations across the UK. Extensive local knowledge allows the team to recommend locations that best match your chosen activities, experience levels and preferred style of adventure.
Many venues feature a combination of lakes, rivers, woodland, hills, climbing crags and open countryside, creating opportunities for a varied and memorable day outdoors. As a fully mobile provider, activities can often be arranged close to where you are staying, making it easy to fit an adventure into your holiday or family break.
No previous experience is required. Activities are suitable for beginners and can be adapted to suit different ages, abilities and confidence levels.
Families are encouraged to discuss their preferences when booking so the day can be tailored to provide the most enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Years of experience delivering outdoor activities to families, schools, charities and community groups have helped shape a flexible approach that focuses on creating enjoyable experiences for every participant. Activities are led by qualified instructors who are passionate about the outdoors and committed to helping people build confidence while having fun.
Led by Innes and supported by carefully selected local instructors, every session is delivered with safety, professionalism and enjoyment at its core. The team's local knowledge, extensive qualifications and commitment to quality help create memorable days for families returning year after year.
