Join a lively outdoor battle near Blyth where teams face off with bows and foam tipped arrows. You learn safe shooting basics, then dive into combat games that reward teamwork, quick movement, and a competitive smile.
You begin with a safety briefing covering how the foam tipped arrows work, when it is safe to shoot, and how games are scored. Instructors check kit fit and run a few practice shots so everyone feels comfortable drawing and releasing before the first match begins.
Then teams head into combat style games that mix movement, cover, and short bursts of shooting. Coaching continues between rounds so you can tidy technique while still enjoying the competitive energy of the arena.
As the hour unfolds you rotate through game formats that keep roles fresh and give quieter players as much chance to shine as confident shooters. The session wraps once everyone has had solid game time, usually with laughter, friendly rivalry, and a few hard earned bragging rights.

Guests should be able to move around the field at a light jog or brisk walk and follow game calls from instructors. Closed toe shoes and clothes you can run in make the session more comfortable.
The format balances proper archery coaching with energetic team games, so you leave with both skill tips and a shared story. Foam tipped arrows keep the focus on fun while instructors maintain clear safety rules.

Combat archery uses foam tipped arrows in team games where you move, take cover, and try to tag opposing players. Target archery is more static and focused on scoring rings on a fixed face.
You still learn safe bow handling and a clean release, but the hour emphasises lively matches and teamwork. It is ideal if you want archery with a competitive game feel.
You shoot foam tipped arrows designed for combat style games, not hard target points. Instructors explain safe distances, when to shoot, and how eliminated players step aside during play.
All bows and game kit are provided on site. You do not need your own archery equipment to take part in the experience.
The minimum age is 11 years, and sessions need at least 4 people so teams can form properly. The maximum group size is 12 for a single session block.
An adult should book and attend with under 18s. If your party is larger, ask the team about splitting sides or start times so everyone gets fair game time.

Plan for around one hour including briefing, practice shots, and team games. Exact pacing depends on group size and how many rounds you fit in after everyone is comfortable.
Arrive a little early so kit checks and the safety talk can start on time. A small buffer after the hour helps if you want photos or a cool down chat with your team.
Wear trainers or closed toe shoes with grip and clothes you can run and crouch in. Layers help because you will be outdoors moving between rounds.
Avoid flip flops, heels, or very restrictive outfits. Bring water and sun cream if the day looks warm, plus a spare layer if the field is damp.
Yes. Every session starts with a clear briefing on bow safety, foam tipped arrow rules, and how eliminations work in each game. Play only begins once those points are understood.
Instructors stay on the field to referee, coach, and keep matches fair. The aim is high energy fun with firm boundaries from the first whistle.
Spectators are often welcome from a safe area away from the active field. This suits parents or friends who want to watch without joining a team.
Please follow staff directions so play zones stay clear. If everyone in your party wants to play, book enough places for full teams.
Combat archery is outdoors and usually runs in typical British weather when the field remains safe underfoot. Light rain or cool wind is often manageable with the right clothing.
If conditions make running games unsafe, the team will be in touch about rearranging. Check the forecast and bring layers so a damp day stays enjoyable.
