Join us for Coasteering at Dancing Ledge in Swanage, one of the most exciting outdoor activities in Dorset! Explore the Jurassic Coast through sea swimming, scrambling across rocky coastlines, climbing sea cliffs, jumping off rocks into the sea, and discovering hidden sea caves. This fun adventure is guided by our experienced and professional Coasteering Guides.
Your Coasteering adventure begins at the scenic Dancing Ledge. Our expert guides will brief you on safety procedures and equip you with top-of-the-line gear, including 5mm wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and helmets. You'll start with some sea swimming to acclimatise, followed by scrambling across the rocky shoreline. The excitement builds as you climb sea cliffs and take exhilarating jumps into the sea. Throughout the session, you'll explore hidden sea caves and enjoy the gorgeous scenery of the Jurassic Coast.
For those with fewer than six participants, we offer open sessions where you can join other adventure enthusiasts. These sessions are a great way to make new friends while experiencing the fun of Coasteering. If you would like to join us in a private group of less than 6 people, you are very welcome to book this, but the fixed price for up to 6 people is £270.
Our Coasteering sessions take place at Dancing Ledge, Swanage. Meeting point: Spyway Carpark, Durnford Drove, Langton Matravers, Swanage BH19 3HG. Follow the gravel track past Langton House into the National Trust Spyway carpark.
Usually for children from 14+, however ages 8+ can join private sessions providing they are over 140cm in height and accompanied by an adult. You must be reasonably fit, and be comfortable with heights and jumping into water.

Meet us at Spyway Carpark, Durnford Drove, Langton Matravers, Swanage BH19 3HG. Arrive 10-15 minutes before your session starts.
There are no changing facilities at the site. Please come dressed ready for the activity.
Yes, we offer open sessions for individuals and groups with fewer than six participants.

Our experienced guides can operate safely in various weather conditions.
However, in extreme weather, sessions may be rescheduled for safety reasons.
Dancing Ledge and the smaller Headbury Quarry are two wave-cut platforms on the Swanage coast, and this is where we will meet you!
The postcode you’ll need to find the car park is BH19 3HG. You’ll turn down Durnford Drove and continue all the way to the end of the road. At the end of the road, you will see a turning space and a small gravel track continuing forward. This track will take you past Langton House on your left and into the National Trust Spyway car park at the end. If the grass overflow car park is open, we suggest you park in there. The car park is a pay and display, you will meet your instructor in this car park. Please arrive 10-15 mins before your session start time.
Please keep in mind this is an Adventure Outdoor Activity, there are no toilet or changing facilities on site.
