Taking place in the stunning surroundings of Ullswater in the English Lake District, this course combines expert tuition, hands-on practice, and optional wild camping to prepare you for multi-day canoe expeditions. Based in Glenridding on Ullswater, this course is set in one of the Lake District’s most picturesque and accessible areas. Ullswater offers ideal conditions for developing paddling skills, with its calm waters, stunning scenery, and convenient camping options.
The Saturday night camp will be based at Gillside Campsite. Participants are welcome to arrange alternative accommodation if they prefer. Accommodation costs are not included in the course fee, and food is self-catered.

You should have a moderate level of fitness. The course involves paddling for several hours each day, carrying gear, and optional wild camping, but the pace is steady and manageable for most people.
Yes, you can join for one, two, or all three days depending on your schedule and goals. The course fee is £100 per person per day, allowing flexibility for participants.
Canoes and paddling equipment are available for hire (£50 per canoe). Limited camping gear may be borrowed with prior arrangement.
