Combining sea, wildlife and local history, this experience offers a broader way to explore Cabo de Gata Natural Park both on and off the water. Alongside a guided kayak and snorkelling route, participants also visit the famous Cabo de Gata Salt Flats, known for their pink lagoons, birdlife and long connection to the region’s salt production.
The experience begins with a guided kayak and snorkelling activity along the coastline of Cabo de Gata Natural Park. After a safety briefing and introduction to the equipment, the group heads out across calm Mediterranean waters to explore volcanic cliffs, hidden coves and quieter sections of coastline that are difficult to access on foot. Snorkelling stops are included during the route, giving participants time to observe the clear waters and marine life beneath the surface.
Following the kayaking experience, the tour continues with a guided visit to the Cabo de Gata Salt Flats. Here, guides explain the history of salt extraction in the area while introducing the local wildlife and surrounding ecosystems. The lagoons are also known for attracting flamingos and other bird species throughout the year, making this section of the experience particularly popular with nature lovers and photographers.
Throughout the activity, guides share information about the protected environment, local geology and biodiversity of the natural park. Photography and video coverage are included, along with a soft drink or beer during the experience.
