What to Expect

The Larpool Viaduct bungee jump starts with a climb to the top of the bridge, where you’ll be harnessed in and given a full safety briefing. From there, you’ll jump 42 metres over the river Esk, with magnificent views of Whitby Abbey and the Yorkshire coastline as your backdrop.

The jump itself is a true test of courage, with the moment of freefall giving you a complete rush of adrenaline. If you choose the Solo jump, you’ll experience the traditional bungee plunge straight down, giving you a few seconds of weightlessness before being pulled back up by the cord.

For something even more unique, you can opt for a Forward and Backward (FAB) jump. A FAB involves two jumps in quick succession: the first jump is a traditional forward plunge, where you’ll leap out headfirst, and the second is a backward jump, where you lean back and let go. The FAB jump offers two completely different sensations, making it a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Both jumps are completed one after the other on the same day.

The team will guide you through the process, making sure everything is in place for a smooth and safe experience. After your jumps, you’ll feel a mix of exhilaration and a deep sense of accomplishment.
