Put your communication skills to the test with a blindfolded off-road driving challenge like no other. Using a Land Rover Discovery TD5, you'll take turns behind the wheel—completely blindfolded—while your teammates guide you around a circuit using only restricted verbal cues. It’s awkward, chaotic, and brilliant fun for small groups looking for something that stands out.
Once you arrive, your group will be greeted and briefed on how the blindfold challenge works. After getting comfortable in the vehicle, one person will be blindfolded and take the driver’s seat. The rest of the group act as navigators—though there’s a twist. Standard directional words like "left" and "right" are banned, forcing you to get creative with how you guide your driver around the course. It’s a proper test of clarity, calmness, and quick thinking.
The terrain includes some bumps, slight inclines, and enough quirks to keep it interesting, but everything is paced at a safe, controlled speed. Everyone in the group gets a turn behind the wheel, with lots of laughs guaranteed as drivers rely entirely on their team to keep them on track. An instructor is nearby to supervise and keep things safe but leaves the navigating to your group. It’s light-hearted, slightly chaotic, and surprisingly effective for team bonding.
Set in a private 40-acre off-road site just outside Farnsfield, the circuit is purpose-built for blindfolded driving. It features tight turns, uneven terrain, and clear boundaries that make the course manageable but still engaging. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve done off-roading before, the course is unique every time thanks to the unpredictable instructions.
The site is found on Kirklington Road off the A617 heading toward Newark. It’s around 200 yards on the left from the A614 roundabout. While NG22 8BP will get you close, don’t rely entirely on sat navs—they can mislead. Signage and staff will guide you the rest of the way on arrival.
All participants must be aged 18 or over. No driving licence is needed, and previous driving experience isn’t essential—everything happens off-road in a supervised, safe environment. If you’re nervous, the instructors will offer support without taking over.
A basic level of mobility is required to get in and out of the vehicle and operate the pedals, but no high-speed manoeuvres or advanced skills are needed. Just bring an open mind, a sense of humour, and some patience with your teammates.
The blindfolded driving challenge stands out as one of the simplest yet most effective activities for encouraging teamwork. It’s the kind of session that quickly breaks the ice and gets everyone laughing—perfect for small group outings, birthday events, or casual team-building sessions.
Run by experienced instructors on a private site, the activity is run safely and smoothly from start to finish. With proper off-road vehicles, a great setting, and plenty of creative twists, this is a challenge you’ll be talking about long after it’s finished.
Yes, there is free parking available at the meeting point on Kirklington Road, near Farnsfield. We’re located just off the A617 heading towards Newark—200 yards from the A614 roundabout. Once you’re nearby, look out for signage and our team.
Please note that sat navs don’t always take you to the exact entrance, so it’s a good idea to double-check the directions beforehand. We suggest allowing a bit of extra time to ensure you arrive on schedule and don’t miss any of your session time.
This experience is all about teamwork, communication, and keeping calm under pressure. Each participant takes turns driving a Land Rover Discovery TD5 while blindfolded, navigating a specially designed off-road course. The rest of the group act as navigators, guiding the driver around the track using only verbal instructions—with standard directional words like “left” or “right” banned to make things more interesting.
An instructor will supervise from outside the vehicle to ensure safety, but your group is in full control of navigating the course. The activity encourages clear communication and creative thinking, and always delivers plenty of laughs—especially when things don’t quite go to plan.
No, a driving licence is not required. The experience takes place entirely on private land under controlled conditions, and the speeds involved are very low. This means the session is open to anyone aged 18 or over, regardless of driving background or experience.
The instructor will provide basic guidance on how the controls work, so even if you've never driven before, you’ll still be able to take part. The blindfolded nature of the activity actually levels the playing field—it’s more about teamwork than technical driving skills.
To make things more fun (and challenging), standard navigational terms such as “left,” “right,” “straight,” and “stop” are banned. Navigators must come up with alternative ways to communicate direction and movement—whether that’s using clock-face terms, funny sounds, or personal code words.
This rule often leads to creative chaos and laughter, especially as each group develops its own strategy. It’s a brilliant exercise in communication and listening, and helps break down barriers between participants quickly.
The blindfold driving course has been carefully designed to be challenging without being dangerous or too physically taxing. It features some bumps, gentle inclines, and twists that require careful driving but nothing too extreme or difficult to navigate.
All participants stay inside the vehicle during their turn, and the speeds are kept low to maintain full control. You won’t be expected to walk, run, or complete any physical tasks outside of operating the pedals and steering wheel, making it suitable for most fitness levels.
This activity is designed for groups of 2 to 6 participants. With two people, you'll take turns switching between driver and navigator roles. With larger groups, the number of rounds is adjusted so that everyone gets equal time behind the wheel.
If your group exceeds six, it’s best to contact the provider in advance, as they may be able to accommodate additional people by splitting the session or running back-to-back groups.
