Learn to surf or improve your basics on Famara Beach, a wide sandy shoreline inside a Lanzarote nature reserve. These group lessons suit first-timers and early improvers, with softboards, wetsuits and coaching included so you can focus on standing up and reading the water.
Half-day sessions usually run around 10:00 to 12:00 or 12:30 to 14:30. Full-day intensives combine a morning theory and practice block, a short break, then more water time through the early afternoon. You warm up on the sand, cover safety and technique, then practise in the water with real-time coaching.
Multi-day courses add progressive coaching across consecutive days. Longer packages may include photo analysis and, on the fuller courses, a dry-land training session and a completion diploma after enough hours in the water.
Meet at Av. El Marinero 13 in Caleta de Famara. From there the team heads to Famara Beach, known for its open sandy bay and consistent beginner-friendly waves inside the nature reserve.
Open to beginners and early improvers aged 13 and over. You should be comfortable in the sea and able to swim.
Tell the team about any medical conditions or injuries when you enquire so instructors can adapt the session. No prior surfing experience is needed.
Groups stay small at a maximum of eight learners per instructor, with British Surfing Association qualified coaches and lifeguard cover. All surf equipment is included, and lessons are delivered in English and Spanish on one of Lanzarote's best learning beaches.

Yes. Softboards, wetsuits and rash vests are provided as needed for the lesson. You do not need to bring your own board.
Wear a swimsuit under your wetsuit and bring a towel, reef-safe sunscreen and a change of clothes.
