Introductory divers who want structured training without committing to a full certification pathway will find this two-day course an effective starting point. It introduces core skills, safe diving practices, and foundational knowledge through a mix of e-learning, confined-water training, and open-water dives. The programme is designed to build confidence progressively while keeping the schedule manageable.
Your course begins with e-learning materials that introduce the core concepts of scuba diving, including pressure effects, equipment use, safety considerations, and underwater communication. Once you complete the first required chapters, your instructor reviews key points, answers questions, and prepares you for your in-water sessions. This structure ensures you arrive with a clear understanding of the foundational theory.
Confined-water training takes place at Azure Residences on Palm Jumeirah. You’ll complete a series of practical exercises, including buoyancy management, regulator recovery, mask clearing, and controlled breathing. These sessions are paced according to your progress and include four confined-water dives in a single training block. Once your instructor confirms you are ready, your open-water dives introduce more freedom while practising the same skills in a natural underwater environment.
The second day focuses on open-water progression. You will complete two open-water dives, combining skill practice with guided exploration of the local marine environment. The depth is limited to 12 metres, making the course suitable for new divers while still offering the experience of being fully submerged in the open sea. Flexible scheduling allows you to complete the two sessions on consecutive days or spread them out within a six-month window.
Training is based at the Palm Jumeirah coastline, where controlled conditions allow new divers to learn safely and steadily. The sheltered environment is ideal for skill development, particularly during the confined-water portion of the course. Instructors select areas with predictable depth and visibility to support a smooth learning experience.
Open-water dives take place at accessible Dubai dive sites chosen according to daily conditions. These sites offer gentle terrain, clear entry points, and enough marine life to make your first open-water experiences engaging while remaining manageable for beginners.
Participants must be at least 10 years old, in good general health, and able to complete basic swimming movements. A medical questionnaire is required, and in some cases, a doctor’s clearance may be necessary before in-water activity begins.
No prior scuba diving experience is needed. Completing the first two chapters of the e-learning material before your scheduled session is essential, as it prepares you for the skills taught during your confined-water training.
This centre has spent over a decade supporting new divers across Dubai and Fujairah, with a training approach that emphasises patient instruction and responsibility. Instructors are experienced in helping beginners progress through the essential stages of scuba development without pressure.
A strong focus on community and professionalism creates an environment where students feel supported throughout their training. Clean facilities, well-maintained equipment, and a structured teaching process help build confidence, making the course a reliable entry point for anyone curious about diving.
The e-learning introduces key concepts such as equipment use, pressure effects, breathing techniques, and basic physics. It includes videos, review questions, and short quizzes to check understanding. Completing the first two chapters before training is essential.
Once you have created your PADI account and redeemed your code, the materials remain accessible throughout the course. You can work at your own pace and revisit chapters whenever needed.
Confined-water sessions take place in controlled conditions with limited depth, allowing you to practise skills with minimal environmental variables. These sessions are designed to help you master techniques safely before moving into open water.
Open-water dives are conducted in the sea, where you’ll apply the same skills in real diving conditions. Depth, visibility, and water movement may vary slightly, offering a more realistic diving experience.
You will learn and practise core skills such as buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, alternate air-source use, and controlled ascents. These skills are completed across four confined-water dives conducted in one combined session.
Progress varies by student, so your instructor will take the time needed to ensure each skill is performed comfortably and safely.
The course is structured to allow flexibility, and additional time can be scheduled if required. Instructors focus on confidence and safety rather than rushing through exercises, so slower progression is fully supported.
Sessions do not need to take place on consecutive days, giving you space to return when ready as long as it is within six months.
Site selection is based on daily conditions, including visibility, tidal patterns, and sea state. Instructors choose areas with stable depth profiles and predictable entry and exit points to support new divers.
This approach ensures the environment complements your learning without unnecessary complexity.
Instructors follow recognised training standards that include continuous supervision, staged skill introduction, and regular checks on buoyancy, breathing, and comfort. Equipment is fitted and tested before every session.
Environmental assessments are also carried out before entering the water to confirm that conditions are suitable for training.
A typical session lasts two to three hours, including briefing, equipment fitting, and in-water time. Confined-water sections involve multiple short dives during one visit, while open-water dives follow standard duration guidelines for new divers.
Your instructor manages timing to prevent fatigue and ensure you remain comfortable throughout.
You’ll be fitted with a mask, fins, exposure suit, BCD, regulator, and cylinder at the centre before the session begins. Instructors check each item for comfort and function to ensure an optimal learning environment.
Adjustments can be made at any point, and additional demonstrations are provided if you need support handling unfamiliar gear.
