This full-day adventure takes you through Badian Canyon, where you leap into turquoise pools, slide down natural rock chutes and trek a guided route that finishes at Kawasan Falls. Hotel pickup, lunch and all canyon gear are included, so you can focus on the adrenaline and the scenery rather than sorting logistics.
After hotel pickup you travel south-west to Badian, arriving around 08:00 to kit up with helmet, life vest and water shoes. A short motorcycle ride takes you to the trailhead where your guide briefs you on jump options, water slides and how to move safely over wet rocks before you enter the gorge. The canyon route includes optional jumps from around 20 feet, swims in deep lagoons, natural water slides and scrambles over boulders and rocky riverbeds.
The canyon route emerges at Kawasan Falls to swim in the turquoise pools, eat included lunch and rest before the return drive to your hotel. Your guide sets the pace for the group with stops at each section, and you can skip any jump you are not comfortable with. Total time in the canyon depends on group speed and how long you spend at the falls finish.
Badian Canyon lies in the mountains of south-west Cebu, carved by rivers that feed the famous Kawasan Falls. The gorge combines limestone walls, deep pools and forest canopy, making it one of the island's best-known adventure routes.
The finish at Kawasan brings you to tiered cascades with clear turquoise water where many guests take a final swim before the drive back to the city. The contrast between the enclosed canyon and the open falls setting makes the end of the route especially memorable.
Reasonable fitness and confidence in water are needed for jumps and sustained swimming through the gorge. You can skip individual jumps with your guide's help, and no previous canyoneering experience is required.
Wear a swimsuit under quick-dry clothes and secure footwear with good grip. If you are unsure about any section, your guide will show you alternative routes and help you find a comfortable pace through the water and rocks.
Experienced canyon guides, included equipment and lunch, plus door-to-door transfers from Cebu, let you tackle Badian's classic route without sorting logistics yourself.
Canyon routes follow the safest lines through the gorge, with pacing adjusted to suit your group so everyone enjoys the jumps, slides and swims while finishing at one of Cebu's most photographed waterfalls.
Pickup time depends on your hotel location in Cebu City, Mactan or Mandaue. Your driver contacts you once we have your hotel details with the exact collection time so you reach Badian around 08:00 for the morning start.
Arrive in swimwear ready to change into gear at the briefing point. The early departure ensures you have the full morning in the canyon before the afternoon heat builds.
Yes. A life vest, helmet and suitable footwear for the canyon are provided before you set off. Your guide fits equipment and explains how to move through the water and rocks safely at each section.
Bring your own swimsuit, towel and a change of clothes for after the activity. A waterproof pouch for your phone is also recommended since much of the route is in water.
Lunch is included in your tour after you finish the canyon section and reach Kawasan Falls. Mention any dietary requirements when you share your accommodation details so your guide can plan ahead where possible.
Bring snacks and water if you want extras during the trek, especially if you prefer to eat something light before the canyon section begins.
The canyon route includes optional jumps from around 20 feet, natural water slides, swimming in deep pools and scrambling over boulders. Your guide shows you the safest lines and you can skip any jump you are not comfortable with.
Basic swimming confidence is important because much of the route is in water. The pace is set for the group with regular briefings at each section, and your guide helps everyone find a comfortable way through.
Yes. Round-trip hotel pickup and drop-off from Cebu City, Mactan and Mandaue areas are included. Provide your accommodation details when you share your hotel name and address so the driver can confirm your collection time.
Short motorcycle transfers to the canyon trailhead are also part of the day, getting you from the briefing area to the entry point quickly so you can start the adventure.
After the canyon you emerge at Kawasan Falls where you can swim in the turquoise pools and rest before lunch. It is a popular reward stop at the end of the route and a chance to take photos in the clear water.
There is time to cool off and relax before heading back to your vehicle for the drive to Cebu City or Mactan. Many guests say the falls are the perfect finish after the adrenaline of the gorge.
Wear a swimsuit under quick-dry clothes and bring water shoes or secure sandals with good grip. Water shoes are provided on the day, though your own pair may fit better if you have them.
A dry bag or waterproof pouch protects your phone on the water sections. Reef-safe sunscreen and a change of clothes for after the canyon will keep you comfortable for the rest of the day.
Heavy rain can raise water levels in the canyon and affect the route on the day. Your guide assesses conditions before and during the activity and may adjust pacing or specific sections for safety.
Light rain often still allows the trip to run with a slightly slower pace through the gorge. Your guide will explain any changes and help your group make the most of the day regardless of conditions.
We take groups of 1 to 5 guests, which keeps the party small enough for your guide to lead the canyon at a comfortable pace with regular briefings at each section.
Larger parties may need to travel as separate groups. The small group size means everyone gets attention at jumps and water slides, and the pace can be adjusted to suit the least confident swimmer in the party.
Absolutely. Every jump on the route is optional and your guide will show you alternative routes around any section you prefer to skip. Many guests choose to walk down beside a jump rather than leap from the rock.
Your guide stays with you throughout and helps you find a comfortable pace through the water slides, swims and boulder scrambles. The goal is an exciting day that still feels safe and enjoyable for everyone in your group.
