Over about four hours you move through cliffs, confined passages and rocky walls using rappels, handrail climbing and a ferrata-style section, all under close guide supervision.
After meeting at Portinho da Arrábida, your guide briefs the group on kit, safety and the day's sequence before you set off into the gorge. The circuit unfolds along the full length of Fenda da Arrábida, a geomonument of limestone and schist that opens above the coastline with views toward the Atlantic.
Expect a varied mix of terrain: several rappels between roughly 10 and 30 metres, around 100 metres of handrail climbing along fixed lines, passage through a confined cave section, and a rocky wall climbed in ferrata style with cables and rungs. The pace stays steady with time to recover between technical sections, and guides position themselves at each obstacle to coach you through.
Fenda da Arrábida sits within the Arrábida Natural Park on Portugal's Setúbal coast, where forested hills drop sharply to small coves and clear water. The gorge runs parallel to Portinho da Arrábida beach, so much of the route feels close to the sea even when you are working through rock and shade inside the fenda.

Minimum age is 10. Younger participants should be comfortable in enclosed spaces and able to walk on uneven ground for several hours. If anyone in your group has relevant medical conditions or a strong fear of heights, mention it when booking so the team can advise before the day.
