Ready to leave basic riding behind and start tackling features? The Hydro is designed for wakeboarders looking to challenge themselves with obstacles, jumps and technical riding while continuing to develop their skills on the water.
Once you've checked in and attended the safety briefing, you'll head to The Hydro, the lake's dedicated obstacle riding area. Built for progression beyond the fundamentals, this cable system introduces riders to a variety of features designed to develop confidence and technical ability.
Throughout your session, you'll have access to obstacles including kickers and flat features that encourage riders to experiment with new techniques. Some visitors focus on learning their first jumps, while others work on improving consistency and control over existing tricks.
Every ride presents opportunities to push yourself a little further. Whether you're practising approach lines, working on landings or simply becoming more comfortable around obstacles, The Hydro offers an exciting environment for riders looking to continue progressing.
Based on the watersports lake in St Osyth, The Hydro sits within a dedicated wakeboarding facility designed specifically for rider development. The obstacle layout creates a progression-focused environment while maintaining a safe and controlled atmosphere.
Visitors can enjoy a range of on-site facilities including free parking, changing areas, lockers and a café serving refreshments throughout the day. Spectators are welcome to watch from the viewing deck overlooking the action.
Participants should already be confident wakeboarding independently and capable of maintaining control while riding on the cable system. The Hydro is intended for riders who have progressed beyond beginner level and are ready to start using obstacles.
All riders must be able to swim approximately 25 metres unaided. Anyone under the age of 18 requires an adult to remain on site throughout the session.
Obstacle riding opens up an entirely new side of wakeboarding, and The Hydro provides an ideal environment for taking those first steps. Carefully designed features allow riders to build confidence gradually while continuing to improve overall technique.
The combination of dedicated facilities, quality equipment and progression-focused riding helps create an enjoyable experience for both developing and experienced wakeboarders alike.
