Forget relaxing on the water — this is all about holding on, getting splashed and seeing who can stay on the longest. The Ringo Ride is a fast-paced group activity that sends you skimming across the lake on a large inflatable tube, making it a brilliant choice for friends, families and anyone looking for a few minutes of pure fun.
As soon as you arrive, you'll check in, collect your equipment and attend a short safety briefing before heading to the lake. Participants should arrive at least 30 minutes before their session to allow time for registration, changing and preparation.
Once everyone is ready, you'll climb aboard the inflatable ring and get set for a ride that's designed to be as entertaining as possible. Pulled along the water by the cable system, the Ringo bounces, skims and splashes its way around the lake while riders do everything they can to stay on board.
Unlike a simple tow across the water, the aim here is to complete challenges set by the operators while trying to avoid ending up in the lake. Expect plenty of laughter, friendly competition and the occasional unexpected splash. Each session can accommodate up to three participants, with two riders on the Ringo at any one time and turns shared throughout the session.
Perfect as an addition to a birthday party, family gathering, school trip or corporate event, the Ringo Ride provides a fun activity that everyone can enjoy. Sessions are suitable for small groups, while larger bookings can be arranged throughout the day.
Many visitors combine the Ringo Ride with the Aqua Park, Aqua Climb, paddleboarding, kayaking or wakeboarding to create an action-packed group experience tailored to their occasion.
Overlooking a large watersports lake in St Osyth, the Ringo Ride takes place within a purpose-built outdoor activity venue that offers a range of family-friendly adventures. The lake provides plenty of space for watersports while creating a lively atmosphere throughout the season.
Guests can take advantage of free parking, changing facilities, lockers and an on-site café serving food, drinks and snacks. Spectators are welcome to watch from the decking area, making it easy for friends and family to enjoy the action even if they're not taking part themselves.
All participants must be at least 8 years old, a minimum of 1.2 metres tall and weigh under 120kg. Everyone taking part must be confident in the water and able to swim approximately 25 metres unaided.
Children under the age of 18 require a supervising adult to remain on site throughout the session. Jewellery and piercings must be removed before entering the water, and participants should bring suitable swimwear and a towel.
Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest smiles. The Ringo Ride delivers a fun-filled experience that doesn't require any previous experience, making it suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.
Because sessions are shared with friends or family, every ride becomes a memorable group experience. Add in the lake setting, quality facilities and range of other activities available on site, and it's easy to turn your visit into a full day out.
No experience is needed to enjoy a Ringo Ride. The activity is designed to be straightforward, allowing participants to simply hold on and enjoy the ride while operators take care of everything else.
A safety briefing takes place before your session begins, explaining what to expect and how to stay safe during the activity. Most people are ready to get started within minutes of arriving at the lake.
Yes. All participants must be able to swim approximately 25 metres unaided and feel comfortable entering the water. Although buoyancy aids are provided and worn throughout the activity, riders may occasionally end up in the lake.
Qualified staff supervise every session and operate safety boats when required. However, confidence in the water remains an important requirement for participation.
A maximum of three participants can share a 15-minute session. The inflatable ring accommodates up to two riders at any one time.
If three people are booked, riding time is shared throughout the session so everyone has an opportunity to take part and enjoy the experience.
Everything required for the activity is provided on site. This includes a buoyancy aid, helmet and wetsuit, all of which are fitted before the session begins.
Participants simply need to bring swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes for after their ride. The supplied equipment is included within the booking price.
Yes. Children aged 8 and above can participate provided they meet the swimming, height and weight requirements.
The activity is particularly popular with families because it allows children and adults to share the experience together. Anyone under 18 must have a responsible adult remaining on site.
You might! Staying on the Ringo is all part of the challenge, and splashing into the lake is often one of the funniest parts of the experience.
While some riders manage to stay on throughout the session, others find themselves taking an unexpected swim. Either way, it all adds to the fun and excitement of the ride.
