Moving on from the basics, this intermediate kiteboarding course is designed for riders who already have some experience in the water. The focus is on improving consistency, building control and developing your ability to ride with more confidence. With structured coaching over multiple days, you’ll refine your technique in a safe and supportive environment.
Your first session begins with a beach-based refresher, focusing on re-establishing control and checking your current ability level. You’ll revisit key safety systems and kite handling techniques to ensure everything is solid before heading into the water. This helps set a strong foundation for progression over the rest of the course.
Once in the water, sessions focus heavily on improving water starts and riding consistency. You’ll work on getting up more efficiently, maintaining speed, and controlling direction for longer distances. With close instructor support and radio guidance, feedback is given in real time so you can adjust quickly and build confidence with each attempt.
As the course develops, attention shifts towards refining your riding style and improving overall control in changing conditions. You’ll start working on smoother transitions and better positioning, helping you ride more efficiently and with greater awareness of the wind and water around you.
Lessons take place in the Corralejo area in northern Fuerteventura, a location known for its consistent wind and wide selection of kite spots. The variety of conditions allows instructors to choose locations that suit your level and the focus of each session.
With several beaches available nearby, each day is planned based on wind direction and sea state. This ensures you’re always practising in the most suitable environment, helping you build confidence while continuing to progress safely.
A strong background in watersports coaching and development shapes the way this course is delivered, with a focus on practical progression and clear instruction. The team’s experience in kiteboarding ensures each stage is broken down in a way that makes improvement feel natural and achievable.
Equally important is the controlled learning environment. With very small group sizes, radio communication during lessons, and boat support when needed, you’re able to focus fully on improving technique. Combined with high-quality equipment and carefully selected conditions, this creates an effective setup for advancing your riding skills.
Yes, this course is designed exactly for riders who can get up on the board but want more consistency. You’ll work on improving balance, control, and how to maintain longer rides.
The instructor will adjust coaching based on your current level so you’re not repeating basic beginner work unnecessarily.
The main focus is improving control and consistency in the water. This includes better water starts, smoother riding, and understanding how to manage power more effectively.
You’ll also begin developing awareness of positioning so you can ride more efficiently in different conditions.
Most participants notice a clear improvement in ride length and control by the end of the package. The goal is to reduce stops and build smoother, more continuous rides.
Progress varies, but repeated practice with feedback helps speed up improvement significantly.
A large portion of each session is spent in the water, with land-based refreshers at the start when needed. This ensures you’re actively practising the skills you’re trying to improve.
Time in the water is balanced with feedback and short breaks to maintain quality learning throughout the session.
Yes, boat support is still used during water sessions. This provides safety and allows instructors to assist quickly if needed.
It also helps you practise further from shore, which is important for developing independence and control.
Groups remain very small, with a maximum of 2–3 students per instructor. This ensures you receive consistent feedback and individual attention.
Smaller groups also mean more time actively riding rather than waiting for turns.
