Beginning in the open landscapes of East Laikipia, the first stage of the journey focuses on a multi-day walking safari. Travelling on foot alongside experienced local guides, you’ll move between remote camps, spotting wildlife and settling into a rhythm that feels far removed from everyday life. Evenings are spent in well-equipped mobile camps, with time to relax, eat well, and take in the surroundings.
As the trip progresses, the focus shifts toward Mount Kenya. The environment changes quickly from dry plains to forest, then into high alpine terrain. Over several days, you’ll trek through varied landscapes while gradually gaining altitude, preparing both physically and mentally for the final climbing objective.
The expedition builds towards the ascent of Batian via the North Face route, a technical climb requiring steady movement and teamwork. With a flexible schedule allowing for weather windows, the aim is to give you the best possible chance of success while keeping safety at the forefront.
Guiding is delivered by fully qualified and insured mountaineering professionals with experience across both technical climbing and expedition environments. Every stage of the journey is managed with safety, progression, and clear communication in mind.
What sets this experience apart is its flexibility and personal approach. Each trip is shaped around the group’s ability, with guiding ratios adjusted for different activities to ensure the right level of support throughout. From safari to summit, the focus remains on creating a well-balanced and rewarding experience.
