AIDA Freediving Emergency Medical Responder Instructor teaches other people to do what you already practised on wet concrete: airway adjuncts, hypoxia awareness and freediving accident scenarios without panicking the class. This is an instructor development course for active AIDA Instructors who want to certify FEMR students, not a shortcut for responders who never taught before.
Minimum length is five days covering full FEMR content again, instructional methodology, practical skill mastery and supervised teaching practice under a FEMR Instructor Trainer. You learn to evaluate students fairly while keeping scenarios intense enough to matter. Demonstrating a skill once cleanly is not teaching. Teaching is watching twelve people fumble suction catheters and correcting them without sarcasm.
FEMR Instructors refresh practical skills with an Instructor Trainer every two years. Letting rescue drills go stale is how centres end up with certificates nobody trusts at competitions. That is intentional AIDA policy, not bureaucracy for its own sake.
