Spending the day aboard the ST48 is all about space, comfort, and enjoying the Algarve coastline at an unhurried pace. With half-day, full-day, and sunset options available, each private tour is shaped around your group and how you want to use your time on the water. Departures take place from Portimão Marina, with a dedicated crew focused on creating a smooth and memorable day at sea.
From the moment you step on board, the ST48 feels designed for easy living on the water. Wide decks and comfortable seating areas give everyone room to spread out, whether you prefer shaded relaxation or soaking up the sun. Once clear of the marina, cruising begins at a relaxed pace, with the skipper outlining route options and adjusting the plan to suit conditions and your group’s preferences.
Heading east leads towards Benagil Cave, an area known for caves, arches, and smaller beaches that are best reached from the water. Swimming and snorkelling stops are planned in sheltered coves where the water is calmer and inviting. Travelling west takes you along the coastline towards Lagos, passing highlights such as Ponta da Piedade and a series of quieter bays. Paddleboarding and snorkelling equipment are available throughout the trip, allowing everyone to enjoy the sea in their own way.
Sunset cruises offer a shorter but more atmospheric option, timed to make the most of late afternoon light. As the sky begins to change, drinks are served and the pace slows, creating space for conversation, photos, and a relaxed end to the day. Soft music, attentive crew support, and the privacy of a dedicated yacht make this option particularly popular for celebrations and special occasions.
Set on the western Algarve, Portimão Marina provides direct access to a varied stretch of coastline without lengthy travel time. Its position allows routes to be adapted easily, whether you’re heading towards caves, beaches, or more open water.
Surrounding scenery ranges from dramatic cliffs to calm, sheltered areas that suit swimming stops. This flexibility helps ensure a comfortable experience on the day, regardless of which option you choose.
Previous boating experience isn’t required, as the skipper and crew handle all aspects of navigation and safety. The ST48’s stable design and generous layout make it suitable for mixed groups, including families and guests who are new to spending time on the water.
Guests should feel comfortable moving around the deck and stepping on and off the boat at the marina or during swim stops. Bringing suitable clothing for sun exposure and changing conditions will help everyone stay comfortable.
Personal service sits at the centre of every trip, with real crew members focused on adapting the day to your group rather than following a fixed schedule. Local insight helps shape routes and stopping points that match both the conditions and what guests want from their time on board.
Attention to comfort, pacing, and small details creates an experience that feels relaxed and well considered. The result is private time at sea that flows naturally and leaves space to enjoy good company and the coastline.
The price applies to the entire boat rather than per individual, covering up to 12 people in total. This makes it a practical option for larger families or groups of friends sharing the experience.
Booking the yacht privately also means you’re not affected by last-minute changes in group size, as the cost remains the same.
Only your group will be on board for the duration of the tour. Privacy is guaranteed, with no shared seating or combined groups.
This allows the atmosphere, pace, and use of space to reflect what your group wants from the day.
The ST48 offers more deck space, larger lounging areas, and a generally more spacious feel. This makes it easier for groups to spread out and relax without feeling crowded.
The layout also suits longer trips, where comfort becomes more important as the day goes on.
Half-day trips provide a well-paced introduction to the coastline, with time for cruising, a swim stop, and enjoying drinks on board.
Full-day charters allow for longer stops, a slower rhythm, and the option to include lunch arrangements, making them ideal for groups wanting a more laid-back day.
Sunset trips are shorter and more focused on atmosphere rather than distance covered. The timing is planned to enjoy changing light along the coast.
This option suits couples, small celebrations, or groups looking for a memorable end to the day without committing several hours.
Route choices are discussed before departure, with input from your group and guidance from the skipper. Sea conditions always play a role in the final decision.
Flexibility during the trip allows adjustments if conditions or preferences change.
Swimming and snorkelling stops are included whenever conditions allow. Sheltered areas are chosen to ensure comfort and safety.
SUP boards and snorkelling equipment are available for guests who wish to make the most of time in the water.
Drinks are included as part of the charter. Lunch can be arranged on request, either on board or at a seaside restaurant, depending on the duration.
Any dietary requirements should be shared in advance to allow smooth planning.
All ages are welcome on board, with life jackets available in a range of sizes. The boat’s layout makes it easy to move around with supervision.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for children, particularly during swim stops.
