Evening time on the water brings a different pace to the Sorrento coastline, and this sunset cruise is designed to make the most of it. The Raffaelli 40 offers generous outdoor space, comfortable seating, and a smooth ride, making it well suited to a relaxed end-of-day experience. With a professional skipper guiding the route, the focus stays on easy cruising, conversation, and watching the light change across the sea.
Your sunset experience begins at Marina Piccola, Sorrento’s main port, where you’ll meet your skipper and board the Raffaelli 40. Once on board, there’s time to settle into the seating areas, enjoy a welcome drink, and get comfortable before leaving the harbour. As the boat heads out, views back toward Sorrento open up, with the town gradually fading into softer evening tones.
The cruise follows the coastline at a relaxed pace, allowing plenty of time to take in the surroundings without feeling rushed. Spacious outdoor areas make it easy to move between shaded seating and open deck space, depending on how you’d like to spend the time. The skipper adjusts speed and direction to suit the conditions, keeping the ride smooth and comfortable while highlighting key stretches of coastline along the way.
As sunset approaches, the experience becomes more unstructured. The boat may slow or pause in an area where the light and atmosphere feel right, giving you time to talk, take photos, or simply sit back and enjoy the moment. If conditions allow and your group would like a short swim, this can be arranged. The return journey to Sorrento is calm and unhurried, bringing the experience to a close as evening settles over the harbour.
Departure is from Marina Piccola, the main harbour of Sorrento, located just below the historic town centre. The port is easily accessed by lift, footpaths, taxi, or local transport, making it straightforward to reach even in the evening. Full meeting instructions are shared after booking to ensure a smooth arrival and boarding process.
Once underway, the route stays close to the Sorrento Peninsula, an area known for its rocky headlands, small bays, and layered cliffs. Evening conditions typically mean lighter boat traffic and a quieter feel on the water, allowing the skipper to choose a comfortable route that suits both the sea state and the timing of the sunset.
Guests should be comfortable boarding a motorboat and moving around deck areas with minimal assistance. While the boat offers good stability and space, basic balance and mobility are important for safe movement on board.
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult, and safety equipment is available for all guests. Those who are pregnant or have medical or mobility concerns should consider sea conditions carefully and follow the skipper’s instructions throughout the experience.
This sunset cruise is built around space, comfort, and flexibility rather than covering long distances or fixed routes. The Raffaelli 40 provides plenty of room to relax, making it ideal for groups who want to enjoy the evening together without feeling confined.
With a private skipper and no shared guests, the experience naturally adapts to your group’s pace. Whether you prefer conversation, quiet time on deck, or a short swim, the focus remains on an easy, well-paced evening on the water.
Yes, the Raffaelli 40 is reserved exclusively for your group, with no other guests on board. This allows the skipper to tailor the pace and route to suit your preferences without the structure of a shared tour.
Private use also creates a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere, which many guests prefer for evening and sunset experiences.
The boat can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests. This capacity allows everyone to enjoy seating, open deck space, and clear views without crowding.
The layout works well for couples, families, or groups of friends who want to spend time together while still having room to move around.
The boat offers generous outdoor areas, including comfortable sofas and a large sundeck, which are ideal for evening cruising. These spaces make it easy to relax, talk, or enjoy the view as the light changes.
Its stable ride and moderate cruising speed also help maintain a calm atmosphere, even when conditions vary slightly.
Swimming is possible if sea and weather conditions allow and if your group would like to stop. As the focus is on sunset timing, swimming is optional and usually brief.
The skipper will assess conditions on the day and suggest suitable spots if appropriate, always prioritising safety.
Light snacks and a selection of drinks are included on board and can be enjoyed throughout the cruise. These are intended to complement the relaxed nature of the experience rather than serve as a full meal.
Guests are welcome to enjoy refreshments at their own pace while spending time on deck.
Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Life jackets in suitable sizes are available, and the skipper ensures calm navigation throughout the cruise.
The short duration and relaxed pace often make this a comfortable option for families with children who are familiar with being on boats.
A light jacket or layer is recommended, as evenings on the water can feel cooler after sunset. Sunglasses, a phone or camera, and swimwear are optional depending on how you’d like to spend the time.
There’s no need to bring large bags, as storage space on board is limited.
